Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be held at Fort Garry Hotel located downtown at 222 Broadway. You can find directions and parking info on the “event” page of our website

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

Our dress code is semi-formal/formal. Ladies, floor length or midi dresses encouraged, Gentlemen, no suits required but dress shirts and pants recommended. Dress to impress, but most importantly—be comfortable enough to dance and celebrate with us! To avoid twinning with the bridal party: bridesmaids will be in light pink

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive by 3:30 as the ceremony will begin shortly after arrival. We recommend arriving on time to give ample time find parking and your seat.

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is parking on-site. Valet service will also be available. Self-Parking The Fort Garry Hotel has a Lower Parkade off Garry Street through the green garage door, and an Upper Parkade off Garry Street – up the ramp. Lower Parkade: * The height restriction is 6′ 3″. Upper Parkade: Self- Parking at The Fort Garry Hotel is free for the first hour, and $3 an hour after that. Over Night Self- Parking is $22/night, plus taxes. Valet parking is $30/Night

Are children invited?

We absolutely love your little ones, however we have chosen to keep our wedding an adults-only celebration. We hope you’ll enjoy a night out to celebrate our wedding with the children at home giving you a chance to relax, celebrate, and enjoy the evening together.

Your invitation will specify if you have a plus one. If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out—we’d be happy to clarify.

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have recommended a few hotels in the area for several different conveniences within Winnipeg. Our host hotel will provide a booking link with a special price for the wedding. Prices may change based on availability therefore booking early is recommended. Check our Travel page for details and booking links.

Will there be transportation provided?

Answer

Since our venue is conveniently located within the city, there will be no transportation arranged as we have guests in all different situations located around the city. Uber and taxi are available within the city limits for those guests wanting to enjoy the comfort of their bed, chosen hotel, or other arrangements made.

Please let us know when you RSVP—we’ll do our best to accommodate any dietary needs.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We have hired a photographer to capture our our wedding day moments. Please ensure your phones and cameras are not in view of our photographer so she can capture the moment. Please stay in your seats during the ceremony and phones to stay out of the aisle. You’re welcome to take as many photos as possible during the cocktail hour and reception! We would love to see our wedding day through your eyes.
