Derek & Ileana met in Silicon Valley fashion, by swiping right the first moment they saw each other. The early days began with wine tastings, dinner dates, lots of laughs & long conversations. After 5 years of dating, they came across an opportunity to travel and gathered their pennies to embark on their first Euro trip. Derek was dropping little hints here & there. Ileana was sure that this was going to be the BIG moment. Upon returning home, there was no ring. On November 9, 2018, the couple was running late for a movie screening. In a rush, Ileana stepped no further than the kitchen & commented how clean the space was. Derek insisted that she see the clean bedroom too. She entered & realized that this was about more than just the cleaning. She turned around, looked at Derek in confusion & realized this was it. The BIG moment that was delayed by FedEx. Knowing that their next journey together awaited, they realized it did not matter where & how as long as they had each other.
