Question

Can I bring my child/children?

Answer

Please help the couple achieve their dream of an elegant, adults-only wedding and wedding activities. We respectfully request you find a sitter for the kids and enjoy a vacation in San Miguel de Allende. You've earned it!

Question

What measures are being taken due to COVID-19?

Answer

The couple is requesting to stop the spread of COVID-19 by asking proof that you are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 OR proof of a negative Covid-19 test. The test must have been taken within 72 hours of each day you are attending. Documentation will be checked daily upon entry. A photo of your vaccination card or negative test result saved to your phone is sufficient. Thank you for maintaining a safe, comfortable and fun environment for all our loved ones gathering on this special day.

Question

How do I get from the BJX Airport to San Miguel?

Answer

Please take a look at our "Pick & Choose" flight itinerary under the Travel page. These are the suggested flights that will best suit times for shuttles. However, if you prefer to arrive at a different time please contact us so that we can recommend a private driver for you.

Question

Can i bring an extra person or two?

Answer

We ask that you please email LaBandaTravagli@gmail.com or contact the couple. Remember that a wedding takes a lot of effort, time and money to plan. Please understand that there may be a limit on guests due to occupancy limits

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Upon receiving your invitation and if your decision is already made please email LaBandaTravagli@gmail.com to confirm or send regrets. We appreciate you letting us know as this will determine shuttle accommodations, food, drinks, etc.

Question

Do I need to keep the formal invitation?

Answer

Please keep your formal invitation. Included will be a pass to the ceremony & reception. The invites will also provide a map, itinerary and other useful information for you to use upon your arrival.

Question

What is the weather like in March?

Answer

Warm to very warm. Weather is usually between 70 to 80 F.

Question

What do i wear?

Answer

GUANAJUATO CITY TOUR: Casual and comfortable including your shoes. You will be walking almost all day on cobblestone streets. CALLEJONEADA: The couple requests guests to wear white in honor of tradition and celebration. Comfortable shoes are also highly suggested for the Callejoneada. Guests are more than welcome to change shoes upon arriving at the welcome party. CEREMONY + RECEPTION: Black Tie. (Think Oscars, Met Gala, White House State Dinner....get the point?) Ladies, we will be providing flip-flops for when you have danced your feet off.

Question

Can I take pictures and/or post photos of your wedding on social media?

Answer

During the ceremony, we please ask that phones and other electronic devices remain silent and in your pockets or purses. For other events, yes, please use #LaBandaTravagli when posting. We would love to see your photos and reflect back on good times. But remember to live in the moment and respect the professional photographers and videographers.

Question

Is San Miguel de Allende Safe?

Answer

SMA is recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and is known as the heart of Mexico. This colonial-era city is one of the most popular places for Canadian and American retirees. It is safe to walk on the streets during day and night. However, just like traveling anywhere else in or out of the states, please take precautions and make smart choices.

Question

Do people speak english in SMA?

Answer

Yes and No. Usually fluent English is spoken in restaurants, hotels, tours and anything else in which tourist are involved. However, artisans who are usually indigenous or native speak very little English, just enough to sell you their gorgeous crafts.

Question

What can i do during down time?

Answer

Please refer to the tab "Things to Do". We picked our top things to check out while in SMA and in GTO. City. There is also tourist information available in the main plaza of SMA and in the city of GTO.

Question

Where can I exchange US dollars to MX Pesos?

Answer

BANKS & CASAS DE CAMBIO: US dollars are the best currency to bring with you. You can exchange cash at casas de cambio and some banks. Casas de cambio exist in just about every large town and many smaller ones. They are often open evenings or weekends and usually offer similar exchange rates to banks. Banks go through more time-consuming procedures, and usually have shorter exchange hours (typically 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 1pm Saturday). CREDIT CARDS: Visa, MasterCard and American Express are accepted by most airlines and car-rental companies, plus many upper midrange and top-end hotels, and some restaurants and stores. Occasionally there’s a surcharge for paying by card. Paying by credit card normally gives you a similar exchange rate to ATM withdrawals. In both cases you’ll normally have to pay your card issuer a foreign-exchange transaction fee of around 2.5%.

Question

How do I tip for services?

Answer

Many service workers depend on tips to supplement miserable wages. Restaurants Tip 10% to 15% unless service is included in the check. Hotels It’s nice (though optional) to leave 5% to 10% of your room costs for those who keep it clean and tidy. Taxis Drivers don’t expect tips unless they provide some extra service. Porters Airport and hotel porters usually get M$50 to M$100. Attendants Car-parking and gas-station attendants expect M$5 to M$10.

Question

What is the best way to get around?

Answer

SMA is a very small town and everything is within walking distance. However, uber and taxis requested from your hotel are available.

Question

Who can I contact if I have further questions?

Answer

Please contact the couple at LaBandaTravagli@gmail.com
