Things To Do

We are so excited you are joining us for the wedding! While in Houston, check out some of our favorite places in the Bayou City.
Saint Arnold Brewing Company

Saint Arnold Brewing Company

2000 Lyons Avenue, Houston, TX 77020
, 713-686-9494

The oldest craft brewery in Texas, Saint Arnold Brewing Company, with unobstructed downtown views, has been tapping kegs since 1994 and making a name for itself as a microbrewery pioneer in the Bayou City. There's indoor and outdoor seating here, but when the Houston winter weather is pleasant, the patio is a must!

Houston Museum of Natural Science

Houston Museum of Natural Science

5555 Hermann Park Drive, Houston, TX 77030
, (713) 639-4629

The Houston Museum District is one of the bride's favorite areas of town! The Houston Museum of Natural Science is one of the most heavily attended museums in the U.S. for good reason- there is something here for everyone! The Morian Hall of Paleontology is a favorite of the ring bearers, and the Weiss Energy Hall 3.0 is the top spot for the father of the bride.

Chuy's

Chuy's

19827 Northwest Freeway, Houston, TX 77065
, (281) 970-0341

Chuy's is home to some awesome Tex-Mex, delicious margaritas, and some very tacky/eclectic décor that makes this place unique! We love a good Chuychanga, but, in all honestly it is the creamy jalapeno dip served with warm tortilla chips that starts off every meal here in style. Yum! Another plus for Chuy's is that it is less than a mile from the Staybridge Suites hotel!

Goode Company Barbeque

Goode Company Barbeque

20102 Northwest Freeway, Houston, TX 77065
, 832-678-3562

Goode Company Barbeque lives up to its tag line of "slow-smoked meats and decadent treats!" While the ribs and brisket are classics here, be sure to check out their Czech sausage (with or without jalapeños) and especially when served along side their famous jalapeño cheese bread. This lunch and dinner spot is walkable from the Staybridge Suites, so it's any easy choice to take in some BBQ without having to leave the area.

Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar

Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar

20030 Northwest Freeway, Houston, TX 77065
, 713-597-5347

While not local to Houston, the mother of the bride and her friends love this place (and it is steps away from the hotel!). If you visit during their "Happiest Hour," be sure to try the brussels sprouts and bacon candy on their small bites menu, especially with a hibiscus marg on the side!
