The marriage service will begin at 1:00pm. In the Orthodox Church, marriage—also called Holy Matrimony—is one of the sacred mysteries, and we are honored to share it with you. It is rich with ancient rituals and symbolism. You don’t need to know anything ahead of time—just be present and take it all in. Two professional photographers will be capturing the entire service and celebration. In the church lobby, you’ll find a sign board with a QR code where you can sign up to receive the edited photos once they are ready. 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Stay in what you wore to the ceremony—no wardrobe change needed.

Family friendly & kids welcome! After the ceremony, please join us in the Fellowship Hall for the reception—it’s just next door! Drinks will be available right away, so feel free to settle in and get comfortable while the wedding party finishes photos inside the church and on the grounds. Once we arrive, we’ll begin the celebration with good food, music, and time together to share in the joy of the day. Our two professional photographers will also be with us throughout the entire reception, capturing the moments so you can relax, celebrate, and be fully present. Matins (Orthros)

9:15 am - 10:30 am

Saint George Antiochian Orthodox Church
3204 Ridgewood Road, Fairlawn, OH 44333

We kindly ask guests to dress in church-appropriate formal wear. For women, we suggest longer dresses or skirts and covered shoulders. For men, suits or dress slacks with a collared shirt and jacket are appreciated.

If you’d like the full Orthodox worship experience, come early for Matins (Orthros) at 9:15am before the Divine Liturgy. This is a beautiful service of prayers, psalms, and readings that prepare our hearts for worship—and it includes some traditional Byzantine chant. It’s a quieter, more meditative time in the church, perfect for soaking in the beauty of the space and the music. No need to know what to do—just listen, watch, and take it all in. You’re welcome to come for Matins, Liturgy, or both… but we’d be overjoyed if you joined us for the whole morning.

Divine Liturgy

10:30 am - 12:00 pm

We kindly ask guests to dress in church-appropriate formal wear. For women, we suggest longer dresses or skirts and covered shoulders. For men, suits or dress slacks with a collared shirt and jacket are appreciated.

The morning after our wedding, we’d love for you to join us at 10:30am for the Divine Liturgy (Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom). It’s a beautiful Orthodox service with prayers, hymns, and Scripture—open to everyone. The only thing we ask is the sacrament like the Eucharist be reserved for Orthodox Christians. People will likely bring you some blessed bread as a gift or a welcome. Families with kids, don’t stress—children are always part of the service, and it’s perfectly fine to walk around if needed. You’ll probably spot us with Eleni checking out the stained glass and icons between parts of the Liturgy. Just follow the flow: stand when others stand, sit when they sit. Everyone is welcoming, and we’d be so happy to have you there. And at the end...you got it, follow the flow after Liturgy for a blessing from the priest, he'll be so happy to see you again! Afterward, join us back in the Fellowship Hall (where our reception was) for coffee hour—coffee, cake, and good conversation.

Coffee Hour - Fellowship Hall at St. George

12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Saint George Antiochian Orthodox Church
3204 Ridgewood Rd, Fairlawn, OH 44333

In the Orthodox Church, “coffee hour” is more than coffee—it’s where we gather after Divine Liturgy to share food, catch up, and welcome newcomers. It’s an important part of building and keeping our church family strong. We’d love for you to stay after the service in the Fellowship Hall (where our reception was) for coffee, cake, and conversation. Whether you’re meeting new friends or reconnecting with familiar faces, you’ll be part of the warmth that makes our parish feel like home.
