We met through mutual friends at a potluck dinner, and sparked a meaningful friendship when we began talking about faith and Orthodox Christianity, and have not stopped talking since!

In June of 2025, Kyriaki traveled to Florida with Eleni to visit her mother. Rob flew down to join them for the drive back to Ohio—but Kyriaki had a surprise planned: a stop in St. Augustine to visit the St. Photios National Shrine. As they strolled down St. George Street and entered the shrine, Kyriaki had no idea that her surprise was about to be met with one of her own. Rob proposed to her there—right in front of marble stand faced with a mosaic of her very own name saint which supported a reliquary of apostles and numerous other early saints. Her surprise was greeted with his, and the moment became one they will cherish forever.
