Maid of Honor
I met Kyra shortly after she came out of the womb. We grew up like sisters. We love to play this game of trying to guess who is who when looking at baby photos of each other. Through the many years of entertaining ourselves, I definitely made Kyra to do all sorts of arts and crafts with me. Did my anal retentiveness with hand writing and art rub off on her or was it always there and she thrived off of it?? You tell me. Even though we live apart as adults, there's a ridiculous amount of similarities between us (mannerisms, aesthetics, etc.) I always describe her to my friends as the better version of me. <3 Kyra, I look forward to being your Maid of Honor. Cheers to the happy couple!
Best Man
Despite meeting just mere days ago, Andrew knew Kristian was the best man. not just at his wedding. but period. a bestman among bestmen. Upon finding out the two both had a pair of samoyeds and significant others in the medical field and dreams of becoming stay at home dog parents, they sealed their fates of becoming eachother's bestmen by committing a crime so heinous that should they confess, the blood oath they've taken calls for immediate double murder suicide. My favorite personality traits aspects about andrew are his body and his rational choice making.
Bridesmaid
I've known Kyra since we were 5-years-old. In the 2nd grade, there was a huge snowstorm on her birthday and I was the only one to show up. We've been best friends ever since. Every memory I share with Kyra is a favorite of mine since she's my BFFF but if I had to choose, it might be remembering her strength our sophomore year and seeing her grow and evolve every year since. Kyra is a complete inspiration to me and I'm proud to be one of her maid of honors in this life-changing event.
Groomsman
I became friends with the Bride and Groom in college, albeit many years apart. How they met was Kyra inviting Andrew, who she didn't know at the time, to my surprise birthday party. Andrew and I have always brought out each others obnoxious streak while Kyra and I have always been kindred spirits deep down. I am overjoyed to have been their initial connecting point and to be apart of their wedding as a Groomsmen.
Bridesmaid
Kyra and I met as Room Service Ambassadors at OSF in 2013. We didn't become close friends until we started working together as nurses on 4Surg in 2017, you never really know someone until you work night shift together! My favorite memory with Kyra would be our 2 week trip to Italy in 2019! Kyra is the only reason I made it back to the USA in one piece. You also never know someone until you spend 2 weeks in a foreign country together! Kyra is always up for an adventure and is one of the most genuine people I know. It has taken a long time for me to tolerate Andrew, but I’ve always admired his ability to talk to a stranger like an old friend. A social skill I can honestly say I will never possess! I’m always so thankful for this couple’s friendship and can’t wait to celebrate their marriage!
Groomsman
Andrew and I met when my mom hatched me from the egg at the farm. We did everything together when we were little and were pretty inseparable. It's hard to pick a favorite memory, but I really loved when we got our trampoline together. We spent hundreds of hours on it and we think I accidentally broke his nose jumping on it too! Andrew tried really hard to protect me in the best ways he knew how. He really wanted to ensure I wasn't bullied in school and did his best to make sure I had lots of older friends (his friends) who could stand up for me. I could go on and on about the many times he made me feel welcome, loved, and like I had a place among loved ones in this cold, dark, world, but let me just say that I'm very proud and honored that I get to be a groomsman for my brother's wedding!
Bridesman
I met Kyra in college when I was in desperate need of an accompanist; she was incredibly eager to help a fellow musician in need. A great memory with the 3 of us is jamming out in the living room, drunk and reckless! Andrew's quirks are getting disgustingly drunk after 3 shots. As for Kyra, we love the good ol knee slap she gives us when the jokes too funny. Kyras personality is so warm and welcoming, but not afraid to speak her mind when she feels necessary! Now Andrew, he's just a damn goofball...literally corny. The corniest of the corn! My role in the wedding will be to get as drunk as possible while still maintaining my proper composure.
Groomsman
I met Andrew at school when we were assigned to live in the same dorm. Our friendship grew through very late game nights and late night food runs. One experience I don’t think we'll ever forget is having the thrilling task of cleaning up 2 bottles of red wine vomit from our suite-mates drunken adventures. Andrew is very entertaining after a few drinks-until he heaves up black liquid prompting a trip to the urgent care. One thing I can say about Andrew is no matter what I can never get mad at him and no matter how long it has been since I last saw him it always feels like we just saw each other! Kyra is very sweet and has an insane amount of patience when dealing with Andrew and his many antics. For some reason she has this magic ability to win at any game she plays. I will be a groomsman.
Bridesman
Kyra and I met working together on 4Surg, where she convinced me to leave float pool for and then promptly left. But she's more than made up for that with pool days, game nights, road trips; Kyra never fails to make every experience with her a good memory. Though the ones that are a little fuzzy usually make for the better story. From Iron Chef to master mixologist it's Kyra's nature to make it perfectly bougie, and she does it all with the patience of a Saint. Which explains how she wound up with everyone's favorite goober. I'm honored that these two wonderful humans have allowed me to stand with them as a bridesman on their special day.
Groomsman
Andrew and I were the new kids in town when we first met in grade school. I later got to know Kyra through Andrew. Some of the best times I've had with Andrew have been our group trips to Six Flags, board game nights, Friendsgiving, and our uniquely wonderful (and hilariously awful) group video projects in high school. I'm sure our English teacher LOVED our take on A Tell-Tale Heart. Whether our group is getting together to celebrate the holidays, or it's the few of us getting frustrated at Kyra for always winning at board game nights, it's been an incredible experience to see Andrew and Kyra grow closer with each other over these past several years. I couldn't be more happy and excited for the bride and groom, and I can't wait to be a part of the wedding party as a groomsman!
Bridesmaid
Kyra and I met working on 4Surg and we quickly bonded over our love for wine, coffee, and board games. My favorite memories of the bride and groom are game nights drinking and laughing all night long! I love Kyra's caring heart; I can always count on her to feel better. I love Andrew's sense of humor he can make me laugh until I pee! I am very excited to be standing up as a bridesmaid next to Kyra!
