Things To Do

We're excited to share a few places around town that we love to visit. If you'd like more recommendations, visitgrandjunction.com has excellent, comprehensive lists for every interest!

Pablo's Pizza

319 Main Street, Grand Junction, CO 81501
, (970) 255-8879

This is one of our favorite pizza places ever and their cookies are an absolute dream! Fun flavors like "Punk's Pesto," "Unicorn Force," and "Panthers at the Circus" always offer something unique and new. There's also a location in Fruita if you choose to stay there!

Hot Tomato Pizza

124 North Mulberry Street, Fruita, CO 81521
, (970) 858-1117

Awesome pizza from a local gem in Fruita! Patagonia did a mini-documentary on the women who started it https://youtu.be/z7yg2PO07u8

Graff Dairy

581 29 Road, Grand Junction, CO 81504
, (970) 549-4893

A local favorite, Graff offers new flavors and fun combinations every week. They've seen several faces over the years, but now that they're re-opened, it's a must-try! Zach recommends an Oreo mountain glacier with Lavender, it's DELIGHTFUL. Kyra reccomends any and all of their ice cream, you really can't go wrong.

Suehiro Japanese Restaurant

541 Main Street, Grand Junction, CO 81501
, (970) 245-9548

Excellent sushi with a great atmosphere. Ger your name on the list ahead of time, it's frequently quite busy (but it deserves the attention!)

Colorado National Monument

Rimrock Drive, Fruita, CO 81521
, (970) 858-3617

The Colorado National Monument is an awesome attraction for geologists, nature enthusiasts, hikers, and stargazers alike. An expansive trail system with hikes for all abilities offers incredible views, and the road up isn't sore on the eyes either. A 7 day pass is $25

Bangs Canyon Trailhead (Mica Mine)

Little Park Ct, Grand Junction, CO 81507

The mica mines is a great trail for those with minimal hiking experience. It's 2.26 miles but a very flat out and back trail. Definitely a favorite since you can find mica at the end of it!

The Palette

441 Main Street, Grand Junction, CO 81501
, (970) 640-8569

A wine and painting studio for all ages and abilities, no artistic inclination needed! Kyra and her family have done several paintings there and have enjoyed every experience.

Enstrom Candies Downtown Grand Junction

701 Colorado Avenue, Grand Junction, CO 81501
, (970) 242-1655

This is the Endstrom candies main building where all the magic happens! Great chocolate and toffee to bring home!

Museum of the West, Museums of Western Colorado

462 Ute Avenue, Grand Junction, CO 81501
, (970) 242-0971

This museum has a unique panoramic view of the city with a matching picture of how it used to be. Exhibits about Alfred Packer, local schools, homesteaders, and more.

Dinosaur Journey Museum, Museums of Western Colorado

550 Jurassic Court, Fruita, CO 81521
, (970) 242-0971

Awesome dinosaur museum right in Fruita! Just miles from where the first stegosaurus bones were found, it's a neat journey!

Copeka Coffee

1012 North 5th Street, Grand Junction, CO 81501
, (970) 628-0878

Fun and eclectic coffee shop near downtown, Kyra recommends their chai and I've heard their avocado toast is great!

Gelato Junction

449 Main Street, Grand Junction, CO 81501
, (970) 245-4759

Local gelato place downtown. Perfectly located to cool off while window shopping and enjoying the art of the area.
