Wedding Party

Life takes people in every direction possible. In our case, the people chosen for our wedding party range all the way from young childhood friends, to post college introductions that became a friendship in the best possible way. So without further ado, meet our party!

Matthew Marion

Best Man

Matt and Dennis first met back in 2008 at Dennis' college freshman orientation. While looking for a new athletic outlet, Dennis came across some people throwing a disc in the quad and went over to see what it was all about. Matt was the one to introduce the club and start Dennis on the path that has lead him to where he is now. Since Dennis and Kyra met playing ultimate, one could argue that it never would have happened if Matt and Dennis never met.

Rebecca Krasnoff

Matron of Honor

Rebecca, who Kyra more commonly calls Becca, have been friends for so long that they can't remember the day of their meeting. They met in play group when they were 2 years old and have stayed best friends ever since. Becca and Kyra were only in school together during elementary school and in that time only had one year in the same class. 2nd grade was one of the most memorable years for that very reason - whether it was talking too much in class, making daisy chains, or playing tether ball. Since a young age they knew they would be each other's maid/matron of honor. Whether attending different schools or living in different states, Becca and Kyra have always stayed close friends through out the years. They are never really farther than a call or text away.

Michael Margala

Groomsman

Mike was also part of the crew that got Dennis started in the Ultimate frisbee world. Throughout college and beyond, they have remained close friends. Between playing Ultimate on both coasts together, suffering together being Rams fans through all of the rough years, watching Game of Thrones every Sunday at Mike's house, and so much more, there have been countless memories.

Kyra Mangan

Bridesmaid

Kyra and Kyra met in preschool, although you will more often hear the bride call her bridesmaid Kiki. What better reason to become friends than having the same name? That friendship has stayed true through the ages of matching outfits, softball games, ski trips, and bike rides. Kyra P. lives in Nor Cal and Kyra M. lives in So Cal, so they don't get to see each other all the time, but whenever they are both in Marin they still go for bike rides together.

Joseph Musser

Groomsman

Dennis actually met Joe at his own wedding. At the time, Dennis was dating a girl who played soccer with Joe's wife in college. Dennis was a plus one for the wedding, and experienced a "small world" moment. Aside from being a plus one for the bride's side, the best man (Matt) was also at the wedding as a friend of Joe from high school. Matt made introductions, and the friendship began. Not long after, the three got together for a golf game and Matt somehow forgot that Dennis and Joe had already met. He reintroduced the two again, and they played along like they had honestly never met before...at first. This moment has lead to a long lasting joke of, "Have you met my buddy Joe?"

Niki Gutierrez

Bridesmaid

Niki and Kyra met in middle school through shared classes. They bonded over school classes, the awkwardness of adolescence, and love of animals. Their friendship has been closest during their middle school and post college years. The shared love of animals is a continued interest for both - Niki as a vet assistant and Kyra at the Peninsula Humane Society.

Derek Delmar

Groomsman

Derek and Dennis first met at a frisbee tournament in the mountains of Santa Cruz called Hats Hops & Hucks. It was a simple situation of playing against each other, but developing a connection and having a great time. Since then, the friendship has grown into something much more than opponents on the field. Among all of the sports that they share a passion for, the one that truly stands out is the love for hockey. Not many of their friends enjoy it enough to go into the finer details, but they watched every game of the Western Conference Finals when the Ducks lost to the Blackhawks in game 7. You may also notice him holding all of his drinks in his left hand. If you see him during the reception, ask him why.

Chelsea Reuther

Bridesmaid

Chelsea and Kyra met in college. Like many college friends, they met because they shared the same major and residence house floor during freshman year. A close freshman year friendship led to becoming roommates for the remainder of their time at Lesley University. Although now living on opposite sides of the country, Chelsea and Kyra still manage to get together for Disney races, short visits, and a trip to Europe the summer of 2019.

Brian Murray

Groomsman

Brian is one of Dennis' oldest friends going all the way back to high school. They met in Spanish class and honestly did not get off on the best foot. However, through close proximity and actually getting to know each other, they became best friends quickly. They spent many years being weird together, gaming until the late hours of the morning, even working together at Disneyland for a time. After college, Brian, Dennis, and Matt spend some time as roommates together until Matt got married and moved in with his wife. This is one of those friendships where they could not see or talk to each other for years, and then pick it up right where they left off.

Maya Berlin-Udi

Bridesmaid

Maya and Kyra met through west coast swing dance while they were both living in the Boston area. Maya moved to the Bay Area shortly before Kyra moved back. While both in the Bay Area, their friendship grew through dance and board game nights. Kyra was a bridesmaid at Maya's wedding (one of the October 2018 weddings).

Jono Chu

Officiant

As many of you know, Jono is Kyra's younger brother. Kyra and Jono share a very close relationship, and she wanted to find a way to include him in the big day. Since neither Kyra nor Dennis are religious, and did not envision having a traditional ceremony, they came up with the plan to ask Jono to be the officiant.
