Denver International Airport (DEN)
Denver is going to be the best bet for flying. It is about a 4 hour drive away from Crested Butte. There is a shuttle that goes to Crested Butte or the option to rent a car. Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional (GUC) is the other airport much closer to Crested Butte but a lot smaller and more expensive. It is about 30 minutes from Crested Butte and a free RTA shuttle travels from Gunnison to Mt. Crested Butte. Lastly, Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ) is the last airport 2 hours from Crested Butte. It is also a small airport to fly into and would require driving from the airport to Crested Butte.

A shuttle will leave Denver Union Station (1701 Wynkoop St) at 1:50 p.m. and arrive in Crested Butte (4-Way Stop; North of 6th and Elk) at 7:35 p.m. The shuttle operates daily. The shuttle will depart Crested Butte at 5:15 a.m. and arrive at Denver Union Station at 10:50 a.m. A one-way ticket costs $45 from Denver to Crested Butte and back.
