Please dress formal. Keep in mind that September in Colorado can be chilly and our venue is outdoors for the ceremony and partially covered for the reception. Please reserve white for the bride and cabernet/dark red for the bridal party.
We request that our guests arrive at 1530 (3:30 pm) to allow time to settle before the ceremony begins.
We are not registered. We understand the time and expense that is going to be involved in attending our wedding, so, in lieu of a gift, we are asking that guests only attend the wedding and celebrate our day with us!
Please RSVP by August 3, 2026.
Please let us know if you have a special request and we will work with our caterer.
Denver sits at 5,280 feet - one mile above sea level. Crested Butte sits even higher at 8,970 feet. Everyone's body reacts to elevation differently. Some people don't notice anything at all, while other people notice elevation changes more strongly. If you are traveling from out of town, here are some recommendations for how to make sure the altitude doesn't get you down: 1) Arrive early and enjoy Colorado activities. The surest way to help your body feel comfortable with altitude is to give it an extra day or two to adjust. Both Denver and the mountains are amazing places to vacation - make a trip out it! 2) Be careful with alcohol: People coming from sea level typically feel the effects of alcohol more strongly and more quickly than normal when they are at high altitudes. Stay aware of how much you're drinking. Remember, 1 drink at altitude = 2 drinks at sea level. 3) Drink a ton of water: The air in Colorado is very dry and it's very easy to get dehydrated. Drink way more water than you think you need. 4) Wear sunscreen: The sun is stronger at higher elevations and it's very easy to get burned. Put on sunscreen whenever you spend time outside. Don’t forget lip balm! We look forward to celebrating with you all! Please check back for more information closer to the wedding.
The weather tends to be crisp and is usually mild. Fall high temperatures in Crested Butte range from the 50s to low 60s. Lows are in the 20s and 30s. September and October are usually dry and sunny, but rain and snow are also possibilities. Usually, the first frost hits Crested Butte in September. The first snow usually falls at the end of October.
