Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

The church ceremony and reception will be typical wedding cocktail attire. For guys, suits are appropriate, ties are encouraged but optional. For ladies, cocktail dresses or traditional semi-formal dresses. The welcome event on Saturday will be a "nice casual" which means nice shorts, pants, collared shirts, sundresses, sandals, etc. Anything other than casual beach/pool attire should work!

Question

Do I need a passport to travel to Puerto Rico?

Answer

If you're only going to Puerto Rico and then back to the United States, then no you don't need a passport. Since Puerto Rico is technically part of the United States, a US driver's license is all you need! But if you're traveling anywhere else before or after, then confirm travel requirements for your destinations.

Question

Arrival and airport pickup in San Juan

Answer

Although it's easy to take Ubers in San Juan, they are not allowed to pickup visitors arriving to San Juan airport. You will need to take a taxi to your hotel or Airbnb. The cost should range from $20-$25 depending on where you're staying.

Question

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

No you certainly don't need to. If you do want a car and you're willing to pay for valet or parking at your hotel, or you're doing an Airbnb that comes with parking, it's very easy to get around San Juan and Puerto Rico broadly. Otherwise, it's easy to use taxis and Uber. Plus, we are providing shuttles to and from the wedding reception!

Question

Do I need to exchange money?

Answer

Nope! Puerto Rico is part of the US and everyone accepts cash and/or major credit cards.

Question

How has the area been impacted by the earthquakes?

Answer

San Juan and the surrounding areas where all activities will be hosted during the weekend are unaffected by the earthquakes and are fully operational with no damage! While areas on the far southwest side of the island were impacted, these recent quakes were the first of their kind on the island since 1918. We have been tracking the activity closely and have been assured by all of our contacts that there is nothing to worry about for the weekend activities!
