What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is "Dressy Garden Attire". Wear sundresses, floral prints, suits in lighter hues, or Khaki dress pants with collared shirts.

Answer

It will be warm! Typical June weather in Virginia Beach tends to be in the mid 80's with humidity.

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony is taking place in Sonny's family's back yard at 2245 Haversham Close, Virginia Beach, VA 23454. The reception is taking place at the Broad Bay Country Club down the street from his family home. The address is 2120 Lords Landing, Virginia Beach, VA 23454.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be outdoors. Both locations have indoor restrooms.

What if it rains?

Answer

If there is a chance of rain during the ceremony, we have 2 backup plans. 1. There will be a tent in the yard to cover everyone. 2. There is the option to use an indoor room at the country club.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception hall where we will be serving finger foods and beverages.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

The RSVP deadline is May, 29 2021. You can RSVP by mail or online! There is an RSVP tab at the top of our wedding website where you can respond online.

Answer

The ceremony's address is 2245 Haversham Close, Virginia Beach, VA 23454. The receptions address is 2120 Lords Landing, Virginia Beach, VA 23454.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive a half hour to an hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

There is plenty of street parking available near Sonny's family home. After the ceremony, you can head over to the Broad Bay Country Club where there is a large parking lot free for our guests to use.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget and within Covid guidelines. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

While the ceremony's location is in a back yard with a slant to get to the seating area, there is a cement path that leads down to the grassy area which would allow for wheelchair access. To enter the home to use the restroom, there are steps. The reception at the country club is wheelchair accessible.

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

A variety of food will be served like appetizers, salad, pasta, etc. There will be an open bar available. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be served.

Transportation will not be provided between to/from the hotel.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We would like to have an unplugged ceremony, we have an amazing photographer and would prefer for you to enjoy watching the ceremony. During the reception yes of course! We encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #schlehtheday so we can keep track of all of your pictures!
