We're getting married!

Sonny and Kylie met their freshman year of High School and became friends. Kylie developed a little bit of an obvious crush but two wouldn't end up dating until their senior year not knowing where the road after graduating would lead them. After graduating, Sonny attended West Virginia University and Kylie started at a local community college. They decided to try and make long distance work (spoiler alert: it did!) After 4 years of countless visits to WVU and coming back home to Virginia Beach between the two of them, Sonny graduated and moved back home. The {AMAZING} Engagement! Sonny's family planned an exciting trip to Italy in the fall of 2019- of course Kylie had to tag along! Little did she know, Sonny's mom, Judy, was holding a special little something for Sonny. When they arrived in Italy, they stayed in Rome for the first couple days of the trip. Rome was absolutely amazing, they visited the Vatican, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, and Colosseum. All were so rich in history and beauty but Sonny did not feel they were quite the right place to ask the question. It wasn't until they reached the Villa in Fontaine Bianche, Sicily that Sonny scoped out the most romantic spot. One evening right before dinner was ready Sonny asked Kylie if she'd like to go watch the sunset with a drink out on the lava rocks and of course she loved the idea - still somehow not knowing what was to come. They made it out to the rocks enjoying the sunset, scenery, and drinks. Sonny told Kylie to turn around so he could take her picture. When she turned around, Sonny was down on one knee- on the lava rocks! Spilling many tears of joy, of course Kylie said yes! How awkward would it have been if she said no though? ;)
