Garden of the Gods
1.5 hours from hotel A must visit if you head down to Colorado Springs. A super well-kept park home to massive red rocks. The “hike” is paved and very doable for all activity levels.
Guanella Pass
1 hour from hotel This is where we took our engagement pictures! About an hour long drive full of gorgeous Mountain views. The roads are very well maintained, but beware, you will lose service. The pass spits you out at the quaint town of Georgetown with so many fun little shops to walk through! We especially loved the little candy store with their homemade chocolates and ice cream.
Denver Art Museum
25 minutes from hotel One of our favorite art museums!
Balistreri Vineyards
15 minutes from hotel If you are in the mood for a wine tasting, we can’t recommend Balistreri enough!
Little Man Ice Cream
This ice cream is so good, we've even eaten it while standing out in the snow.
Golden
25 minutes from hotel A little town with great breweries, shops, and restaurants. Home to the Coors brewery. We haven’t done the brewery tour, but have heard great things!
Pikes Peak
1.5 hours from hotel The drive up to Pikes Peak is not for the faint of heart or anxious passenger princess, but it is definitely a must-do when in Colorado. You reach over 14,000 feet in altitude and see some pretty incredible views. Just know there are minimal guardrails!!!
Red Rocks Amphitheatre
30 minutes from hotel Another pick this is probably obvious, but has to be included. If you are staying in Denver for a few days after the wedding, take a look at the lineup at Red Rocks. Its one of the coolest concert venues you will find. Even if you aren't able to hit a show, you can still go walk around the venue and see memorabilia from all the legends that have played there.
