Words can’t express how blessed and thankful I am to have such an incredible and loving sister to stand by my side as my Maid of Honor on my wedding day! Madison is more than just a little sister. She has been my best friend and someone I have been able to look up to throughout my life. She is so humble, kind, hilarious, selfless, generous, and caring and pours out love to everyone around her! She's listened to me, encouraged me, and shown me unconditional love throughout my whole life. I can't begin to describe the countless amazing memories and fun times we've had together growing up (and continue to have)! To name just a few, I remember passing notes to each other from our bunkbeds in buckets, making a made-up language to talk to each other in when we visited national parks to see if we could convince other tourists that it was a real language (her name was Ma-hee-ha and my name was Ky-ee), and countless times we've laughed until our stomach muscles hurt! No one can break out the dance moves quite like her (which hopefully you will get to witness on the wedding day)! It's safe to say that when it comes to sister's, I hit the jackpot!

Candace Rowe

Candace is my cousin but is definitely more like a sister! Madison and I have been so blessed to have two amazing cousins, Candace and her sister Charissa (who you’ll be introduced to later), who have made such an impact on our lives since we were little. We have been so blessed to have had the opportunity to pretty much live with them and their family multiple summers for several weeks/months throughout our lives while we were on summer vacation. We made memories that I will cherish forever, whether it was playing games, doing bible studies together, having movie marathons, or just hanging out and having fun cousin time full of laughs! Even though Candace and Charissa were several years older than us growing up, they always made us feel so special and loved by intentionally loving us and spending time with us. We felt like so special getting to hang out with the cool older cousins and their friends when we were little. We were so blessed to be able to continue having this special time together as we got older. Candace and I have still recently been able to have our cousin time over the summers and during Christmas Break in recent years and I cherish it every time, especially as everyone gets older and busier with life. 😊

Charissa Costerisan

Charissa is my cousin but is definitely more like a sister! Heather Harty

Heather has been an absolutely incredible friend for many years now. We met in college through our campus ministry and got to know each other better one summer and that was it! We became super close friends very quickly. Heather and I have had such amazing times together as roommates and friends, whether it was just doing day-to-day tasks together such as laundry and grocery shopping, going on random Starbucks runs, or just sitting and talking for hours. I truly appreciate how Heather was always there when I needed her to lend a listening ear or just spend time with me and how we were able to have such special times just doing day-to-day life together. I always appreciated how we could be our funny, goofy selves around each other and feel totally comfortable. She also was there from the beginning (and before) of Chris’s and my relationship and was so patient as I talked for hours about liking him. 🙃 She is so loving, generous, fun, caring, a great listener, and like a sister to me! So blessed and thankful for her friendship and to have her by my side on my big day! I also had the honor of being Heather’s bridesmaid five years ago at her wedding! 😊

Katherine Flores

Katherine’s friendship has been such a blessing to me in so many ways. I also had the privilege of being roommates with Katherine and had some of the best times with her and Heather! Katherine is one of the best listeners and most selfless people I know! Whenever we talk, she listens so intently and makes you feel so heard. She offers great advice and truly values her friendships and relationships, which definitely shows in the love she shows others! I have been blown away by how amazing and caring she has been in helping me plan my bridal shower and bachelorette weekend, always putting my wants first and doing everything she can to make it such a special trip for me! I also had the privilege of sharing a room (and bunk bed) with Katherine in college! For those of you who know me, you know how patient Katherine must be to put up with my messiness and plethora of stuff. Katherine’s grace and patience are just two other amazing qualities about her! I am so thankful and blessed by Katherine’s friendship and can’t wait for her to stand by my side on my big day! Fun Fact: Katherine was the first person to give Chris the nickname Chrissy-poo. I'm forever grateful for this! Haha

Amanda Cassel

Wow! Where do I begin?! Amanda and I have been friends for years, starting in high school! Being roommates for several years with Amanda and our other amazing roommates in college has been one of the biggest blessings in my life! I can’t even begin to describe what fun and memorable times we had together as college roommates, whether it was having random fun roommate hang outs, chowing down on candy and desserts during study sessions (or attempted…haha), going to football games together, doing roommate pranks, or meeting each other at the dining halls to eat. We also had the incredible opportunity to go to the same college ministry together and be part of the same bible study group, along with Emily (who you’ll be introduced to later as well), where we were able to grow even closer together as friends as well as grow in our faith together. Amanda is such a kind, selfless, and caring person and has such a heart for caring for and loving others. I am always blown away by how intentional Amanda is with keeping in touch with friends through phone calls and texts even with the business of life that can so easily make it hard to stay in touch. Amanda has always been an amazing listener and makes those around her feel so cared for and loved! I am so blessed to have her as one of my best friends and I can’t wait to have her by my side on my big day! I also had the honor of being one of Amanda’s bridesmaids in her wedding seven years ago! She now has a beautiful family of five! 😊

Emily Lavery

Emily's friendship has been such a blessing to me! I can honestly say that she is one of the sweetest and most genuine people I've ever met. Amanda met Emily first through our college ministry group and told me right away, "Kylie, you've got to meet this amazing girl I met, Emily." How true that was and still is today! Emily is amazing at listening to you and making you feel completely heard, loved, accepted, and valued. That is such a special quality about her and I know she has been such a blessing to so many people in this way. I will forever cherish the times Emily, Amanda, and I got to sit on the couch in the attic at bible study group (or that one time we sat in the trunk of her car) and just talk for hours about life. We developed a special bond through these times and grew in our friendship and faith together. We've had such fun times together over the years, whether it was having sleepovers, pigging out on ice cream together (which we both love), or just talking for hours and having lots of laughs. Emily and I are both teachers and it has been such blessing to have someone to talk to who understands both the great and challenging parts of teaching. Emily is also an AMAZING hostess and baker! She makes delicious desserts that she is always willing to share (like the amazing chocolate covered strawberries that she shared at my bridal shower). I also had the honor of being one of Emily's bridesmaids in her wedding and I can't wait to have her by my side on my bid day!

Christine Kunkel

Again, where to begin?! Christine definitely wins the award for longest roommate, since by the time I get married, we'll have been roommates for FIVE years! As you can imagine, those years come with countless laughs, good times, and an unbreakable bond of sisterhood that we share! Christine has such a joyful spirit, one of the biggest and beautiful smiles I know, and truly shows Christ's love to those around her! She's been such a blessing and encouragement to me and so many others. We met when I was a college student through our campus ministry. Right away, she took me and several other girls in our group under her wing and loved and mentored us. If you know Christine, you know she has a natural gift of making you feel like your best from the moment you meet her. Lucky for me, she's truly one of my best friends and more like a sister! As roommates for five years, we've had countless memories and laughs, from random conversations that last until 2 in the morning, dance parties, being serenaded by one of Christine's original songs, and countless other fun roommate adventures. If Christine's involved, you know it's going to be a good time! We pretty much know everything about each other at this point and laugh at how well we can read each other and know what the other person is thinking! It's such a blessing to be known and loved by someone so well and it will definitely be bittersweet when I finally move out. It's such an honor to have Christine by my side on my big day!

Lily's friendship has been such a blessing to me! Lily was my roommate when I moved back to Gainesville along with Christine for two years. It's truly been such a blessing to get to know her and be loved by her! Lily has such a kind and generous heart and was always there to listen to me and encourage me! I was always encouraged by how she relies on Christ's strength to sustain her and how she shows Christ's love to those around her. I will always cherish the times we were able to sit on the couch in our apartment and talk about what was going on in each other's lives for hours. Lily is such an incredible listener and always made me feel heard, valued, encouraged, and loved! I am always blown away by Lily's thoughtfulness and generosity. She always picks out the sweetest and most personal gifts for people. I truly appreciate how she still mails me birthday and Christmas gifts despite the fact that she lives several states away now. How thoughtful! She also has a beautiful smile that lights up any room! Being roommates with both Lily and Christine was such a special time in my life full of so many laughs and good times. We developed a sister-like bond that I will cherish forever! I also had the honor to witness and be a part of several of Lily's big life accomplishments, such as her graduation from UF as well as her commissioning ceremony for the US Army. Although she lives many states away now, I treasure the times we get to talk on the phone or catch up in person!
