Flight
For people coming from the States, traveling through Newark Airport (EWR) or Washington D.C (IAD) are the main way to get to South Africa and you can fly into Johannesburg or Cape Town. Flying through Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) is another option to consider (potentially more expensive). In addition, there are flights going through Europe and Qatar if those options give you more flexibility! You will need to get on a connecting flight in either city you fly into to get to George directly (this is an hour away from Plettenberg Bay). These will be booked through local airlines like FlySAA or FlySafair.
Rental Car
Online booking of rental cars is available through Budget, Hertz, and Bluu Car Rentals (on-site at George Airport). Would recommend having a rental car to share with family/friends for ease of travel but there are shuttle options if desired to get into Plettenberg Bay.
