Wedding Party

Meet the wedding party who will be walking with us and standing beside us on our big day!

Tess Phillips

Matron of Honor

Tess and I met in honors nutrition science classes in college, and somewhere between small group discussions, studying together, and watching our guilty pleasure, The Bachelor, we became best friends. I have never met a girl with as much depth as Tess. We both have a passion for nutrition and helping people be their best selves. Tess also has the biggest love for Jesus, and it radiates. This girl is a mind field of knowledge, and I just love her. Tess has shown me true friendship, grace, love, vulnerability, faithfulness, and discipline. She is the best council. I remember all the nights we spent talking about our future husbands and weddings together. I am so happy I got to stand with her when she married her man, and now I cannot wait for her to be there with me while I marry mine!

Christina Jack

Bridesmaid

Christina and I met one of the first summers in college while in summer school. We meshed instantly when I figured out how she was just as weird as I am. The minute I heard her calling everyone "humans", I couldn't help but laugh and absolutely love her hilarious little personality. Dare I say she is the cutest human being on the planet. We are the nerdiest of nerds together and really enjoy hanging out and drinking diet root beer. I admire how kind and how much of an old soul Christina is. She always finds such joy in the little things, and I have been so blessed to be her friend for the past several years. I couldn't get married without her standing by my side as one of my closest and most cheerful friends!

Katherine Millis

Bridesmaid

Katherine is that friend who loves to celebrate you, laugh with you, and always has a positive attitude that builds you up no matter what. Katherine and I met through dance, and I couldn't be more glad to have found such an amazing friend through it! Shortly after meeting, we instantly clicked, having both gone to Texas A&M, loving dancing, and going on double dates with our guys! Katherine and her husband Chase made mine and Michael's experience upon moving to Houston so memorable. Whether we're going to church together, grabbing lunch at Skeeters, coming over to bake Christmas cookies, or having a game night, I always find myself having the best time and laughing a lot when Katherine is around. I'll need her sweetness and infectious goofy/fun personality around on the wedding day!

Devin Dyson

Bridesmaid

After spending a year together as Houston Texans Cheerleaders, mine and Devin's friendship has grown so much on a "real life" level this past year! Devin keeps me accountable going to Zumba classes and always bends over backwards (literally because she is the most flexible person I know) to maintain a special friendship. She is always there to call if I need someone for advice with a logic mind! I can always count on Devin for a girls' wine night after a long week at work, and she's the only friend I have where it's normal to come over and stretch together with wine and have quality girl time. I love Devin's determined and never satisfied personality because I relate to it so much. With Devin, there is never a dull moment! I am so excited to have her cheering me on on my wedding day!

Amanda Winter

Bridesmaid

Amanda is a firecracker. I would have never made it through our season as Houston Texans Cheerleaders without her. There is something about Amanda that just outright glows. She is the ultimate friend fan girl. She is that friend who when you walk in the room, she screams your name with such excitement you would think y'all haven't seen each other in years. I don't know if it's the amazing facial expressions she has or the pure love she has for the people she cares about, but her personality lights up a room. Amanda is that friend who is just so fun and has the bubbliest personality. She has always loved Michael and I so much and has made us feel special. I can't imagine celebrating my marriage without Amanda there providing all the energy and helping glamming me up on my special day!

Hannah Uhlig-Reche

Bridesmaid

Hannah knew Michael, or "Yeckley" as she would call him, before I met him. Michael and her then boyfriend (now husband) Nick worked at Barton Springs Pool over the summer in college, and Nick and Hannah always offered Michael a place to stay when he needed it. As years went by going on couple's dates playing arcade games, going bowling, riding the crazy rides at Fiesta Texas, or floating the river, Hannah and I clicked on our own personal friendship level. Hannah shares my love for girly things like makeup and hair and nerding out on medical stuff. She's that friend who always has full on abs, is wearing a fabulous outfit, probably carrying a dog, drinking Starbucks or wine or a cocktail, and is learning or doing something new, and I love her for it! I can't imagine my wedding without her!

Ryan Roessler

Best Man

Ryan and I met our freshman year through a leadership organization at Texas A&M. Our friendship initiated through our love of football and sports. We both love Aggie football, working out, and playing intramural sports. We spent a lot of time debating whether the Steelers or Cowboys are the best NFL dynasty... I think we all know the answer to that one! Ryan and I became roommates Sophomore year and is the reason I met Kylie November 2014. Ryan saw the entire progression of mine and Kylie’s relationship and always emphasized the importance of love, God, and integrity. Ryan has always been there for me in every season of life and aided in my growth as a man. Ryan is my most trusted steady hand and voice of reason that’s always pushing me to better myself and always do one more rep.

Andrew Amerson

Groomsman

Andrew and I met only a few months after I began my full time position at Oxy during a happy hour. I introduced myself to him because we seemed to be about the same age only to find out he’s nearly 7 years older than me. Andrew and I quickly became friends, and he invited me to a young adult ministry called The Porch every Tuesday night at Houston’s First Baptist. Andrew helped me reestablish my relationship with Jesus and grow with me along the way. Andrew has since become one of my best friends spending nearly every hour in and out of work hanging out, praying, traveling, and experiencing life together. I could not imagine my work or life without Andrew peaking in the door to see if I’m down to hangout.

Michael Wang

Groomsman

Michael and I met my sophomore year of college where destiny had it that he became my “step little" in a leadership organization at Texas A&M. Michael and I seemed to participate in nearly every extracurricular activity together from our leadership organization, to flag football, to BUILD where we built medical clinics for third world countries in need. Michael then became my favorite roommate ever because of his ability to do dishes and laundry like no man I have ever met before. Anyone who knows Michael knows he is not only intelligent, but also one of the wisest and spiritually prioritized men you will ever meet. Michael has lived life with me in the craziness moments to the most joyous and everything in between.

Chase Millis

Groomsman

Chase became my first couple friend in Houston through Kylie and Katherine's friendship. We had a ton in common from the get-go from us both attending Texas A&M, to driving white Ford F-150’s and feeding off of each other’s high energy, never satisfied personalities that made us instantly mesh. Chase and I both love anything involving competition, whether it be racing to skeeters for brunch after church, discussing business propositions, or having a Christmas cookie bake off, Chase and I always found something interesting to discuss or do. Chase’s energy for life is contagious and his perspectives challenge me to think outside the box and never live a life without passion.

Elias Rosedahl

Groomsman

Elias and I met junior year at Texas A&M on the BUILD worksite constructing medical clinics together. Beyond the worksite, Elias and I seemed to spend most of our time talking about life in late night discussions into the real world where we kept in touch while he was in stationed in Alabama, Dallas, and now in California for his work. Elias is not only one of the deepest people I have ever met, but also lives one of the most dynamic lifestyles I have ever seen. Elias’ desire to explore and live life to its fullest with little concern of societal expectations placed on us has renewed my perspective on God’s grace, love, and my life as a whole.

Nick Reche

Groomsman

Nick and I met while we both worked at Barton Springs Pool in Austin during the summer of 2014 while he was still a student at The University of Texas and I was on summer break. Nick and I quickly became friends after working together for some time, and after he let me stay with him and his now wife Hannah when I needed a place to stay. Nick’s fun-loving personality has always allowed me to relax and enjoy the small things in life. Nick is by far my least risk-adverse friend, doing gainers off of nearly anything in sight, while also being one of the most caring people I know about his friends, family, and community. Nick’s passion for a fun-loving approach towards life and making the most out of every situation while helping others has always inspired me to do the same in anyway I could.
