Despite living across the street from each-other on the same floor in different buildings in Arlington, and moving to Washington only weeks apart, Kyley and Will wouldn't meet until early 2021. It was right before D.C.'s famous cherry blossom season that a happenstance early spring message would leave Kyley and Will glued to their phones, texting song lyrics and texting back and forth to each-other for days at a time. Their first date (on a Monday night, because they just couldn't wait) was at a waterside wine cafe, where Kyley was a cool eight minutes late and Will didn't realize they closed early for a Monday. Between a bottle of Riesling and witty back and forth, they'd end up continuing the night at a local margarita spot down the street, talking about everything and anything until that place closed for the night, too.
