Our wedding will take place Saturday, September 27, 2025. This date was chosen in honor of the Bride's late maternal grandparents. Jim and Barb Sagarsee were married September 27, 1958.
The entire wedding, including the rehearsal, the ceremony and the reception, will take place at the Winyah Indigo Society Hall. The Winyah Indigo Society Hall is located at 509 Prince St. in the heart of historic downtown Georgetown, S.C. Why Georgetown? Kylee's parents live on the Southeastern coastline of NC and Brandon's parents in the Charleston and Summerville metropolitan areas of SC. Georgetown is the perfect meet-in-the-middle for their families.
No. There is a public parking lot 1-1/2 blocks away and there is plenty of parking on adjacent side streets.
Yes, Winyah Indigo Society Hall is handicap accessible. There is a handicap ramp, elevator, and handicap accessible restrooms upstairs. There will be "chill space" on a different level of the venue than the dance floor for guests to take a break from the noise.
Yes! Children are more than welcome to be a part of our big day. There will be wedding activities that keep kiddos in mind and the wedding venue is a 4 minute walk (0.2 miles) from The George Hotel for families who need easy access to their accommodations that night.
Short answer: Whatever you want. We want you to be comfortable on our big day. That being said, we invite you to take this opportunity to dress up and have fun! Cocktail attire is appropriate. There is no specific theme for our wedding. The theme is simply "us." You're welcome to match the wedding party, who will be wearing the following colors: sea glass, terracotta, sage, and shades of blue. (The Bridal Party is wearing attire primarily from Birdy Grey.) But truly, we encourage you to be yourself and wear whatever feels good to you.
We chose not to send paper RSVP cards. If you are having any trouble submitting your RSVP through this website, please contact us directly. It is possible we made a simple typo when putting your name on our guest list. Your name must be on our guest list to be able to RSVP through our wedding website. If you've stumbled upon our wedding website but did not receive an invitation to our wedding, please know that we still love and care about you. There wasn't room at our venue or in our wallets to invite everyone. If your invitation never arrived in the mail, but you are able to submit your RSVP, please know that you were invited and your invitation was lost on its journey through the US Postal Service. Our wedding website will not allow RSVPs for anyone who is not on the guest list. If you are able to submit your RSVP, you were invited!
Both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding reception will be catered by South Mountain Catering, out of Bostic, NC. The rehearsal dinner, reserved for the wedding party and select guests, will be Italian cuisine including a pasta bar. The reception will be a buffet of Mexican cuisine, including enchiladas, fajitas, and (most importantly) a queso fountain. Please include in your RSVP any allergies or dietary restrictions you would like for us to share with the catering staff.
Throughout the evening, 5th and Handle will provide bar service of beer and wine as well as bottled water and soda beverages. South Mountain Catering will provide non-alcoholic drink service during dinner to include tea, water, lemonade, and carbonated beverages. Coffee will also be made available throughout the evening; you may even catch the groom making pour overs. All beverages are being provided by the bride and groom; no purchases will be required by guests for alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks. [We recognize that some of our guests may be in recovery; there will be no hard liquor drinks that evening.]
When we chose our wedding date, we had no idea the destruction that was to come to Western North Carolina in 2024. This wedding date is in honor of the Bride's late maternal grandparents, Jim and Barb Sagarsee, who were married September 27, 1958. For us, keeping our chosen date in spite of Hurricane Helene shows strength and resilience. We understand, however, that this is also a time full of grief. If celebrating with us is not how you'd like to spend the day, we understand. Whether you're staying home, attending a Helene anniversary event, marching in the Blue Ridge Pride Parade, or praying at the Blue Ridge Walk to Emmaus Women's Walk #98, that's okay with us! Just please RSVP so we know if you're sending us your love from afar or from the dance floor.
