Trent Gustafson

Best Man

I met Trent working at Old Chicago and almost immediately we became close of friends. Over the past 10 years Trent and I have been on many adventures and created countless memories. No matter what obstacle that presented itself in my life, Trent was there to help me through it. He helped keep me on track to get my degree but was also there whenever I needed to vent or let loose. When Trent and I went into Old Chicago for a drink one afternoon, we had a friend come out and tell us about the new hot manager that just transferred to our store. When Kyle came strolling out, we both stared like a couple of creeps, and Trent said, "You should definitely date her." Only a few short months later, I took his advice and it turned out to be the best advice I was ever given.

Kimberly Klingsmith

Maid of Honor

Kyle and Kim met way back when they were freshman at Thomas Jefferson High School. By sophomore year their relationship had blossomed into full blown inseparable (unless Kim skipped class to play guitar hero). They shared many experiences together growing up in their teens- driving around for endless hours with the music up and windows down, countless concerts, sleepovers, and camping trips. College came around and Kim was right there for support on the first night Kyle moved into CU Boulder and thought "who is this random girl I have to live with now!" When Kim moved to the mountains of Colorado, Kyle would go out to visit whenever she could. On one of these trips Kyle met Pete, Kimberly's now husband. Kyle knew they would be perfect together as they had a goofiness that was unmatched. Kyle celebrated in Kimberly and Pete's wedding in 2018. 2020 rolled around and Kim and Pete celebrated the birth of their daughter Kennedy. This time Kyle headed on up to visit; she had Sean at her side. We think Kim sensed something right about this one. As Kyle's forever best friend Kim will be standing beside Kyle as her and Sean tie the knot this year.

Joe Wilson

Groomsman

I also met Joe (or "Luscious Joe") at Old Chicago and unlike Trent, I did not like him at first. Once I got to know him however, it was clear how much we were going to get along. We bonded over a shared love of Pokemon (I know, we are nerds) and football (even though he's a Packers fan). Over the years he has become one of my closest friends and we always find time to get out there to "Catch Them All." When I was going through a tough breakup, Joe was there without question, even leaving work early, to help me move all my stuff out and providing me with a place to stay. When Kyle came to our Old Chicago to begin managing, Joe was one of the first people she met and he was very friendly and helped her feel comfortable in an unfamiliar environment. When COVID took over the world, due to some unfortunate circumstances, Joe was forced to live with Trent and I in our 2 bedroom apartment during quarantine. This turned out to be one of the most memorable times of our lives, as 3 couples shared this tiny apartment.

Kylie Lunka

Bridesmaid

Kylie has always said that she would have a "Kyle" to spend her life with. And Kyle had found the "sister" she'd never had. Kyle and Kylie met Kyle's sophomore year in high school when their mutual guy friends left town for the weekend. Kyle and Kimberly had known Kylie as a mutual friend, and on a Friday night with nothing to do the three decided that they didn't need the boys and could hang out together. With a Bennigan's gift card, a box of hair dye, molten chocolate cake, and another box of hair dye to correct the fire red hair Kylie created with her stylist skills a bond was made for life. I think Greg still suffers from the roaring laughs keeping him up that night! Through all of life's moments Kylie and Kyle were in the journey together; much like the famous duo if Thelma and Louise, a halloween costume the pair tried to pulled off the night Kylie met her main man Geoff. Now that it is time for Kyle to walk the isle, she would only do so with her best friend and partner in crime Kylie by her side.

Spenser Hanson

Groomsman

Spenser had been a long time regular at Old Chicago and since he never sat at the bar top, I barely knew who he was. Then Spenser started dating Morgan (one of Kyle's bridesmaids). When Kyle and I started dating, through Morgan and Kyle's friendship, they became the couple that we spent the most time with. Finally, spending time talking to Spenser, I realized that this guy was going to be one of my best friends. We have spent countless hours talking about sports, sometimes to the point of annoying the girls. We love playing golf and even though he is vastly better than me, we always seems to have a good time. He invited me to join his bowling team, which made Tuesday nights my favorite day of the week. When I asked Spenser to join us in Mexico because I planned on proposing to Kyle, he was determined to make the trip, even though it was in the heart of his busy season at his job. The bond between the 4 of us in unbreakable, and we even joke about calling it a 4-way marriage.

Sabrina Herrera

Bridesmaid

Another Thomas Jefferson Alumni, Sabrina met Kyle also in freshman year. They shared in the inseparable group of girlfriends that still remains to this day. Sabrina and Kyle spend most of their time together laughing, and have shared many memories over the years. On Friday nights the crew would walk home from school to Sabrina's house. All of the girls would get ready to go out together, usually dancing around to a Justin Timberlake's CD on repeat. They shared a love for camping and would go on trips with Sabrina's family every year. As Sabrina and Kyle got older their bond remained as two best friends; and they have shared in each other's celebrations and hardships; and always find a way to make time for some fun. Sabrina was the first one to give Sean a stamp of approval. Kyle was overjoyed to meet Sabrina's first son Carson in 2021, and now Sabrina will join Kyle on her special day.

Zach Simons

Groomsman

Zach is the one groomsman of mine that I did not meet through Old Chicago, because he is literally my brother. Zach and I have always been close, despite of an age difference of nearly 14 years. We love attending Broncos games, cheering for the Bulldogs and betting on NFL games, pretty much anything football related. When my truck was totaled, Zach was kind of enough to allow me to drive "his" Chevy Colorado, even though the thing was a money pit and ended up dying on me (which he blames me for lol). When Zach isn't stuck at work, you can probably catch him riding around the town with our dad on their motorcycles. I THINK he may have finally convinced Kyle to allow me to get one of my own!

Taylor Parker

Bridesmaid

Old Chicago, your causal pizza/ beer joint where relationships tend to bloom. Kyle met Taylor when they were working together at Old Chicago during college. As Kyle's first true "adult life" friend the two took on what living in the real world meant together. They worked hard through school and building careers side by side; though they always made time for some fun. The two loved to going out dancing on Wednesday nights, they took their first trip to Vegas together, spent many days as snowboarding buddies, and even took South Dakota by storm. At Old Chicago Taylor had also met her long time boyfriend, now fiancee Josh: who was always the chaperone to their silliness. When Josh proposed just this past New Year's Eve, Kyle's first thought was "About damn time!" The two have thought about weddings for the past 12 years together, and now Taylor will be dancing the night away at Kyle and Sean's.

Ryan Julian

Groomsman

When I first met Ryan at, you guessed it, Old Chicago, I instantly thought, this dude is a nerd like me. One day he was at a different Old Chicago doing a "secret shop" and I saw him and almost blew his cover. As soon as he finished his task, he came and sat with us and we spent the night talking sports and eventually watching some of our favorite, old Transformer episodes on his phone. We have been known to get each other in a little bit a trouble. Sometimes at work, servers and even the other managers would be searching the restaurant to try find Ryan, and he was usually chatting with me about how bad our baseball teams are, instead of working. I would also get grief from Kyle, when I would be in the parking lot after close, talking about super heroes until 4:00 am (even though I had to be back there at 10:00 am). No matter how busy Kyle and I are during the holiday season, we make it a point to attend Ryan's Christmas party and have some of his delicious Christmas cocktails.

Morgan Baker

Bridesmaid

Kyle and Morgan met just a few years ago when Kyle took on her first role of a manager with Old Chicago. Morgan was a bartender and the two became fast friends. One night, Morgan invited Kyle out to Music Bingo with a group of others and boom Kyle and Sean hit it off! Kyle and Morgan's friendship grew through brewery outings, sporting events, and game nights. One day Kyle was scrolling through some pet ads she found a few sweet Labradoodle babies ready for their homes in just three weeks. Morgan was the first to get the text flooded with pictures and options, and by the end of the day Morgan and her boyfriend Spenser were celebrating with Kyle the fact that they had two puppies coming, Sean shaking his head. Morgan and Spenser joined Kyle and Sean on their trip to Mexico in 2021. While it was damn near impossible for the ladies to find a salon open on the 4th of July to get their nails done for the trip Kyle was still aloof to what tricks Morgan had up her sleeve. Little did she know that Morgan had gone with Sean to pick out the perfect ring, and she waited paitently for days on the beach before he popped the question. As Morgan has been apart of Kyle and Sean's relationship over the years, she is one of their best friends, and a celebration in their marriage would be remiss without her by Kyle's side.
