FAQs

Question

What events are guests invited to throughout the weekend?

Answer

Guests are invited to join us for our Welcome Party on the Veranda the evening before the wedding from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM. On the wedding day, the ceremony will take place on the Lawn at 6:00 PM, followed by cocktail hour in Peacock Alley and a reception in the Music Hall, all at Hotel Galvez.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by September 15, 2026. We cannot wait to celebrate with you and appreciate your response by this date so we can finalize plans with our vendors.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the ceremony begins to allow time to find your seat, enjoy a welcome drink, and settle in before we say "I do."

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

The dress code is Black Tie. For women, a floor-length gown is preferred. For men, a tuxedo is encouraged, though a dark suit is perfectly acceptable. We would love for our guests to embrace the colorful spirit of Galveston. Bright colors, bold patterns, and festive attire are warmly welcomed. Need outfit inspiration? Visit the RSVP page!

Question

What is the dress code for the Welcome Party?

Answer

The Welcome Party theme is "Galveston Royal." Think vintage tropical glamour, vibrant colors, bold patterns, fringe, feathers, and anything that feels at home at a fabulous old Palm Beach party. For women, cocktail attire is encouraged. For men, khakis or light trousers with a button-down shirt are perfect. Jackets are optional. Most importantly, have fun with it. Need outfit inspiration? Visit the RSVP page!

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

While we absolutely adore your little ones, we kindly ask that our wedding weekend be treated as a date night. The only children attending will be our flower girl and ring bearer.

Question

Are there any color preferences or styles to avoid?

Answer

We kindly ask guests to avoid wearing white or ivory. Beyond that, we encourage colorful attire that reflects the joyful atmosphere of the weekend and Galveston charm.

Question

Will the ceremony or reception be outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place outdoors on the Galvez Lawn. Late October is typically beautiful in Galveston, but temperatures can still be warm. Parasols, hand fans, and shaded seating will be provided for our guests' comfort.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited space, we can only accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. Thank you for understanding.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

Your presence is truly the greatest gift. For those who wish to celebrate with a gift, we've registered for a few things we'd love as we begin this next chapter together. You can find our registry information on the Registry page of our website.

Question

Will dinner be served?

Answer

Absolutely. We will be serving a seated dinner with your choice of Chicken Piccata or Steak Oscar. Please be sure to select your entrée when submitting your RSVP.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Absolutely. We'll be celebrating all evening with a fully hosted bar.

Question

Can dietary restrictions be accommodated?

Answer

Of course. Please let Samantha or Kyle know in advance, and we will be happy to make arrangements.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

Valet for $20 and self-parking are available at Hotel Galvez

Question

Is there a shuttle service?

Answer

At this time, we are not planning to provide transportation. Our recommended accommodations are located within a short ride of the venue, and ride-share services are readily available throughout Galveston.

Question

What time will the reception end?

Answer

We plan to dance the night away until 11:00 PM.

Question

What is the weather typically like in late October?

Answer

Late October is one of our favorite times of year in Galveston. Temperatures typically range from the upper 60s to low 80s with warm days, pleasant evenings, and a refreshing coastal breeze. We recommend bringing a light layer for the evening festivities.

Question

What are your favorite things to do in Galveston?

Answer

We love spending time on The Strand, grabbing a cocktail by the water, and taking a sunset stroll along Seawall Boulevard. If you're making a weekend of it, be sure to leave time to relax and enjoy the island.

Question

Where should we eat while we're in town?

Answer

Some of our favorites include Vargas Cut & Catch, Katie's Seafood, Sugar & Rye, Rudy & Paco, Gaidos, and The Spot. You really can't go wrong with fresh Gulf seafood while you're on the island.
