Although hard to know what the exact weather will be in mid-October (We are praying for beautiful fall weather), the weather in the mountains of Virginia tends to be cool and crisp, with autumn foliage in full display. Average daytime temperatures range from the mid-50s to mid-60s°F, but it can feel colder at higher elevations, especially in the mornings and evenings. Nighttime temperatures can drop to the 30s or 40s°F, so it’s a good idea to bring layers and a jacket.
Our wedding is black tie attire. Ladies should wear formal, evening gowns or dresses and men should wear a black tuxedo or suit.
