IAH or HOU

For those from out of town, Houston has two airports: (IAH) George Bush Intercontinental Airport -Located north of the city -Larger airport with more flight options particularly for United -In order to get to Galveston, TX you have to drive through Houston. (HOU) Hobby International Airport -Located south of the city -A Southwest hub but also has Delta and American service -Smaller airport that is much easier to navigate -Closer to Galveston, TX

Airbnb/Rental Options

There are so many options on the island for Airbnbs or Rental Houses/Apartments. These can be fairly affordable and there are several houses/apartments that can be split amongst other guests if interested in coordinating that. Reminder that the ceremony/reception will be located closer to the Strand side. However, getting around is very easy no matter where you stay.

We are not setting aside hotel rooms for the wedding. If people are staying for the weekend, there are so many options around the small island that we would like guests to be able to pick what suits them best. Once you are on the island, getting around is very easy for whatever you would like to do. Please note, Airbnbs/VRBOs are VERY common on the island and tend to be cheaper. We have not stayed at most of the hotels below, so they are just recommendations!
