Man of Honor
Kaylee & Greg met in middle school through forensics & band. In high school, they became closer when they traveled to Spain in their Junior year, with Ellen, where the travel bug bit them both and forged a friendship of a lifetime. After high school, Greg attended UW-Madison and Kaylee went to UWSP. Though not at the same school they would visit often. During college, they went on several trips together, including LA & hiking in Joshua Tree National Park and backpacking through Isle Royal where they completed 55+ miles of trails. After college, Greg moved to Atlanta with his boyfriend Gabe, and even though they are now 813.9 miles away (but who's counting), Kaylee & Greg will talk on the phone for hours. Greg is one of Kaylee's biggest lifelines and the best coffee date she could have.
Best Man
Being Kyle's brother and being 4 years younger than Kyle will definitely have its challenges...although Kyle and Collin both loved LEGOS as kids, they did not have that much in common until Collin was in high school. Kyle and Collin became much closer as they grew up in high school/college. Whether it was Kyle and Collin making frequent trips up to Escanaba together, Kyle or Collin visiting the other in their respective college towns, or just making their own trips back home to Wausau to see each other, hanging out and seeing each other would always be a priority. To this day, Kyle, Collin, and Kendel make yearly plans, a "buddy's weekend" to hang out, see each other, and raise hell.
Bridesmaid
Kaylee and Kat met in 2014 during their sophomore year of college, and their friendship really took off during their Junior year. They quickly bonded over cookie dough, trips to Target, and boxed wine. While working at 90FM, they were joined at the hip, even co-hosting some DJ shifts. If Kaylee & Kat weren't at the station, you would probably find them surrounded by a million blankets at their house, "Mom's House." During college, they'd raise a little hell with each other or do yoga, probably both in one day. Even though Kat now lives in Eau Claire they are able to visit with each other several times a year and make it back to Stevens Point during Trivia, essentially 90FM's homecoming.
Best Man
First introduced around 2009 through Groomsman Mitch DeSantis, Kyle and Zach quickly bonded over their love of sports and the Green Bay Packers, but soon found other ways to get to know each other through other valuable avenues like early-college-level binge-drinking, cigarettes (both no longer smoke), and late night disc golf. They travelled/backpacked to New Zealand together in 2011, and they have been ride-or-die best friends for nearly 10 years. From March to late August of this year, Zach will be hiking the Appalachian Trail...be sure to ask him about his trip during the wedding!
Bridesmaid
Kaylee & Ellen cemented their friendship while in band and forensics as awkward tweens. In high school, they were attached at the hip. They, along with their group of friends, would burn CDs for each other and pass them around like candy. This grew into a love of music for both of them, and eventually, they would go to many concerts together. After school, they would typically go to Ellen's house and make pizza rolls (something new like marshmallows or Oreos with the cream removed and toothpaste replaced. ) The travel bug bit them both after their trip to Spain; soon both would be taking trips around the world, and encouraging each other along the way. Ellen has been there for the most challenging parts of Kaylee's life and has always known what to say when it's needed most.
Groomsman
Kyle and Mitchel first met in the summer of 2009 while interning together for a local music festival. Kyle and Mitchel have a strong love for music of all sorts; both continued interning for the WhyNotWausau? Music Festival until 2011, both travelled to Tennessee in 2010 to attend the Bonnaroo Music Festival, and they, along with another friend, began a music blog that focused on local music from the Midwest. Both are avid Packers fans (as seen in this photo featuring St. Vince) but music became another catalyst in their relationship in 2012 when Mitchel, then going to school at UWSP and working at 90FM, introduced Kyle to 90FM and broadcasting. Without Mitchel, there wouldn't be a Kaylee and Kyle.
Bridesmaid
When Kaylee was growing up she always wanted a sibling, being an only child for 9 years was boring. Zoe is bright and sassy, exactly what Kaylee always wanted in a sister.
Groomswoman
If you knew one thing about Kyle and Kendel throughout their years growing up, it was that Kyle and Kendel did not always get along. However, much like Kyle and Collin's relationship, Kyle and Kendel became more close in their later teen years. Distance in college made visiting each other difficult at times but whether it'd be heading north to LaViolette's Beaut just passed Mountain, Parrothead Cove just south of Escanaba, or to a strange AirBnB in Stephenson, Michigan, both Kyle and Kendel would always make visiting family and each other a priority when the opportunity presented itself. To this day, Kyle, Collin, and Kendel make yearly plans, a "buddy's weekend" to hang out, see each other, and raise hell.
