FAQs

Wedding Weekend FAQs
Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive by 4:45 PM to be seated before the ceremony begins promptly at 5:00 PM.

Question

Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Indoors in the ceremony room at Clarks Landing Yacht Club.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that all guests refrain from using phones or cameras during the ceremony so everyone can be fully present in the moment. Our officiant will invite you to take out your phones for a brief moment to capture a quick photo before the ceremony begins — after that, we ask that you sit back, relax, and enjoy the moment with us. We’ve hired a professional photographer to capture every special detail, and we can’t wait to share the photos with you!

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We adore your little ones, but our wedding will be an adult-only celebration. The only exceptions will be the children of the bride’s and groom’s parents siblings and our junior bridesmaid. If your invitation is addressed to “and family,” your whole family is included. If it is not, we kindly ask that you make arrangements for a child-free evening. While we love and cherish all the special kids in our lives, this will be a formal and elegant event meant for the grown-ups to relax, celebrate, and enjoy. We truly appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Question

Is transportation provided to the hotel after the reception?

Answer

Yes! We will have a trolley which will transport all guests to and from the reception that are staying at The Breakers on the Ocean Hotel in Spring Lake

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our wedding is black-tie formal, which means tuxedos/ formal suits and formal dresses are encouraged.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We’ve reserved room blocks at The Breakers on the Ocean for your convenience. Mention the Gershenow Plumstead Wedding when booking

Question

Is parking available at the venue?

Answer

Yes! Complimentary valet parking will be provided for all guests at Clarks Landing Yacht Club.

Question

Will there be dinner?

Answer

Absolutely! A full plated dinner will be served following cocktail hour, along with dessert, coffee, and an open bar throughout the evening. Come with an appetite — there will be plenty of food all night long, and we promise you won’t leave hungry!

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

Your presence is the greatest gift of all! But if you’d like to help us start our next chapter, you can find our registry at "zola.com" where we are registered at Pottery Barn, William Sonoma, Crate & Barrel, Amazon and Beis

Question

How can we share the photos we take from the day?

Answer

We’d love to see the celebration through your eyes! We’ll have a QR code displayed at the wedding — simply scan it to upload any photos or videos you capture throughout the night. This will automatically add them to our shared wedding gallery so everyone can relive the memories together.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

Cocktail hour will begin immediately following the ceremony, with the reception to follow in the Clarks Landing Ballroom for dinner and dancing.

Question

What kind of music should we expect?

Answer

A little bit of everything! Expect a mix of classics, throwbacks, and modern upbeat/club hits that’ll keep the dance floor full all night long.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Please let us know when you RSVP, and we will make sure the Clarks Landing team is informed. The venue is already prepared to accommodate gluten-free guests, and they will gladly handle any additional allergies or dietary needs.
