Our story

Growing up together, now growing old together

Jess and Kyle’s story began back in high school, thanks to a mutual friend — and technically thanks to Jess’s best friend Katrina, who happened to work with Kyle at Foodtown. But the moment their paths truly crossed was on Jess’s 17th birthday at the Holmdel Commons. One look, one conversation, and something just clicked. Their first date in Red Bank sealed it. The conversation was easy, the chemistry was instant, and the night felt effortless from beginning to end. Kyle was smooth (as he still claims to be), and Jess quickly realized there was something different about him. They fit into each other’s worlds naturally, connected with each other’s families right away, and have grown side by side ever since. They became high-school sweethearts — the kind of rare, genuine connection that grows with you as life changes. Since their teenage years, they’ve grown side by side, cheering each other on through college, careers, personal goals, and all the moments in between. Through every season of life, they’ve remained best friends first. Their relationship has always been filled with laughter, comfort, and a deep sense of home. From quiet mornings together to late-night adventures, road trips, time spent with loved ones, and endless conversations about the future, they’ve created a connection that feels both grounding and full of joy. The proposal happened on a December night in Cape May, under a gazebo glowing with Christmas lights. Jess had no idea what was coming, one moment they were strolling through the shops, the next Kyle was down on one knee. It was the perfect mix of surprise, laughter, and pure happiness — a moment they’ll always hold close. Jess and Kyle are looking forward to the next chapter — building a home, traveling, and creating a life full of joy. A couple of furry family members are definitely in their future, and maybe a mini version of themselves down the road too. Together, they’ve found a balance that makes their relationship feel steady, supportive, and authentically full of love.
