We met when Helen visited UW-Madison as an admitted graduate student; Kyle was in his second year of the same program, also studying early medieval English literature (c. 450-1100). We got to know each other from afar during the virtual 2020-2021 school year, but especially while working as TAs alongside Aaryn Smith, Helen's Maid of Honor and Kyle and Helen's BFF. Sparks flew, and we decided to pursue a relationship the first time we saw each other after that Winter Break!
