Is the venue indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place on the rooftop of the Balboa Inn, with views of the beach and ocean breeze. The reception will follow indoors downstairs, just a flight of stairs or elevator down.

Is the ceremony and reception at the same location?

Answer

Yes! Everything is taking place at the Balboa Inn, right by the beach. No need to travel between venues.

Are we on the beach?

Answer

The ceremony’s on a rooftop, the reception’s indoors—sand is optional. We’re right next to the beach, but not on it. Step outside and you’ll find yourself on the Newport boardwalk—a concrete runway for e-bikes, scooters, and runners. Cocktail attire does not make you invincible, so look both ways if you wander over to the beach.

Where’s the pregame?

Next door. Literally. Hit up Cabo Cantina for margaritas, ocean views, and snacks before the ceremony.

Is there a room block?

Answer

No, we do not have an organized room block so feel free to stay where you'd like! We recommend booking earlier to get the best rate! We have some recommended hotels on the 'travel' tab!

Will food and drinks be served?

Answer

Absolutely! We’ll be serving an Italian buffet dinner with something for everyone. Open bar. That means well cocktails, domestic beers and house wine. Hydration stations will also be available because we care about you and your recovery.

Are we dancing?

Answer

Absolutely. Dance floor opens post-dinner and doesn’t close until we do. Bring your best moves (or at least your best attitude about having none).

Parking?

Answer

For a smooth arrival, we recommend allowing extra time for parking, as Balboa can be busy on Saturdays. Complimentary street parking is limited, but there is a convenient lot directly in front of the venue that is paid until 6pm & free after that. Rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft are encouraged for an easy, stress-free experience. We look forward to celebrating with you!

Obviously. Once the reception wraps up we’re heading to our favorite bars along Newport coast. Walk or group Uber we won’t be done celebrating!
