Flight

San Jose International / San Francisco International / Monterey Regional Airport

The Bay Area has a number of different airports to fly into. We recommend San Jose (SJC) for those coming from the West Coast and San Francisco International (SFO) for those coming from the East Coast. Both are a short drive from Monterey. If you are not renting a car, there are shuttles such as the Monterey Airbus that offer service to Monterey. Several Western cities - including Denver, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Phoenix - offer direct flights to Monterey Regional Airport (MRY). While this is a convenient option, these flights are usually more expensive than flying to San Jose or San Francisco.
