Grace Bowen

Maid of Honor

Grace and I met the summer before our sophomore year of high school during field hockey pre-season. Our friendship truly blossomed shortly after we met when we would somehow manage to throw a coupe during field hockey practice and belt the lyrics to Snoop Dogg songs. Our coaches loved the convergence of our energies...That energy has remained with us to this day. Although Grace attended Washington and Lee University, 2 hours away from Longwood, we still remained close and the list of weird jokes and circumstances continued to grow. Currently, Grace is in law school at the University of Richmond where she is working hard towards attaining her goal of becoming a prosecutor. Most likely to argue that the glove DID in fact fit...

Austin Perryman

Best Man

I met Austin during the first day of high school football practice. From that point, we did just about everything together. We met each other’s families, ran off to college together where we lived together for two wholesome years, and started our own family phone plan. He is currently living in Richmond, VA working as a financial planner for True North Advisors. You can thank me later for the free advertising. He has been the Goose to my Maverick for 10+ years (minus the ejecting from an unrecoverable flat spin and hitting the jettisoned aircraft canopy head-first and being killed).

Kristina Roller

Matron of Honor

Kristina and I lived on the same street when both of our Dads were stationed at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada. I was in the first grade and Kristina was in the fourth grade when we first met. We frequently played outside in the desert terrain, fanatically followed all things related to Harry Potter, and even attended the same dance classes. We have remained close to this day—I was even a bridesmaid in Kristina’s wedding back in 2017! Kristina could not stay away from the Air Force for long as she was commissioned in 2015. Kristina and her husband Steve are currently stationed at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska where Kristina is a pilot. What happens in Vegas, in our case, did not stay in Vegas!

Michael Harnisch

Groomsman

Harnisch and I met back in middle school. He has always been and still is, the smartest guy in this group. He is currently living in northern Virginia, but by the time you read this, he will likely be in Boston working as a strategist for a consulting company. He is also an avid photographer and computer programmer. The boy will fill up the Gatorade cooler, walk the dog, and paint your back porch. A swiss army knife of a man.

Kelleen Futrell

Bridesmaid

Kelleen and I both went to Longwood University and met during the first semester of my sophomore year. When Kelleen and I met, she was an initiated sister in Kappa Delta and recruited me during the fall semester to go through rush in the spring—we hit it off immediately! I went through sorority recruitment during the spring of 2016 and received a bid for Kappa Delta. Halfway through pledging Kelleen became my Big! Kelleen has always supported my academic career and social life (mostly social life) which continues to this day. Currently, Kelleen is an Exceptional Education teacher in Richmond, Virginia.

Marshall Bagley

Groomsman

I met Marshall during our first year at Hampden-Sydney, but he really earned his spot in this group because he introduced me to my bride-to-be. He and Dana went to the same high school. He kept telling me he knew this girl he thought I’d “really like” and though I was skeptical at first that evening at the Farmville Cookout would be one none of us would ever forget. Marshall is living in Norfolk, VA and works in financial advising with his father. He is the human version of a firm handshake.

Emily Deivert

Bridesmaid

Emily and I first met in the summer of 2014 when she was just barely taller than I was. Since then, not only has she grown 3 feet, she has also graduated high school, made the newspaper for field hockey, and was accepted to Penn State. Now, currently a junior at Penn State, Emily is working towards a bachelor of science in security and risk analysis. Don't be threatened boys, she may end up being the breadwinner AND still has a killer personality. Together we have shared many giggles as well as a passion for fuzzy socks.

Harold Willis

Groomsman

Harold first came into my life during my freshman year at Hampden-Sydney when he realized our dorm room was always stocked with the good snacks. Both of us ended up majoring in biology and we quickly became friends throughout the late-night study sessions trying to figure out the difference between a nucleus and a cytoplasm. He has been one of my biggest supporters during the years I spent working towards medical school. Harold is currently living in Charlottesville, VA working in clinical research. A great speaker and a better listener.

Baylee Deivert

Bridesmaid

Ahh Baylee.. the quiet one. She usually doesn't say much but when she does, you should listen. You might hear something unexpectedly funny. Baylee has recently graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelors's in Finance. She enjoys traveling, having been to India, Spain, Portugal, and the most exotic location: Orlando, Florida.

Bo Gilbertson

Groomsman

I met Bo later on in my college career. After Dana and I had been dating for about a year Bo, unaware of this fact, introduced us to each other at a party. This has further contributed to the controversy of who is responsible for the genesis of our relationship. Bo is currently in his final year of Law School at the University of Virginia. Most well-known for intercepting Austin Perryman in a high school football game. Wild card.

Kristen Karpusiewicz

Lector

Kristen and I first met on October 3rd, 1995 at the Langley Air Force Base Hospital. Other than my parents, Kristen has been the most consistent person involved in my life. Kristen lives in Northern Virginia with her husband Rich. Currently, she works for the Department of Defense in Washington DC--we'd tell you more but then we would have to kill you.

Taylor Deivert

Lector

I’ve known Taylor for my entire life. She was my first sister, friend, and roommate. She is currently living in Alexandria, VA with her husband Colin. Taylor is serving as a Sergeant in the United States Army and working in the Old Guard at Fort Meyer and Arlington National Cemetery.
