When we met in an otherwise empty lobby of the Pittsburgh Convention Center, we didn't know that we'd found love... but we believed we'd found something special, and we'd just have to let time tell us exactly what that was. With an immediate sense of familiarity upon meeting, we exchanged quick greetings across the course of the convention and looked for little windows to say more. Once the end of the show in view, we managed to meet up with another friend to share a round of drinks that ditched the 'networking' and prioritized the three of us really getting to know one another. That early inkling of something special was only magnified... and there was no name for whatever it was quite yet, but after the show wrapped, we kept in touch as friends, finding reasons to discuss the industry, the news, and, well... just about anything that you can talk about. In the middle of the COVID lockdowns, as we were both approaching life through a new lens, that "something special" was finally acknowledged aloud... and whatever it was we'd found between ourselves, we became inclined to investigate it further. In an era of heavily restricted travel, we'd taken steps to see each other regularly, with monthly drives between Chicago and Philadelphia to ensure we had more than a foundation of hours-long Facetimes to build on. The world returned to normal, travel became easier, and in no time at all, our future felt obvious. By the summer of 2022, we were living together in our cozy little condo, kept company, of course, by a roommate with tall ears, long cheeks, and an underbite that belongs in an art museum... Paddy McCarron. After years of bouncing between each other's cities, we'd finally found a shared home. And the rest, as they say, is history. We've grown to share countless interests, countless experiences, an undeniable love, and of course, a shared vision of what awaits in the decades ahead.
