They first met in August 2008, in their high school freshman english class. It didn't take long for these two to become smitten. During their junior year of high school, life started to introduce other plans. They parted ways; Kyle moved to Charleston, and Laura eventually moved to Columbia, SC for college. They periodically kept in touch and would see each other now and again at parties or mutual friend meet-ups. Somehow, six years flew by. Laura finished school and moved to Charleston for an internship. Kyle lived in town at the time, so they found themselves hanging out and spending time with each other again. They insisted they were "just friends", but it seemed like everyone around them knew what was coming before they did. And by November 2016, they "made it official" again. After that, life arranged more interesting plans for them. They purchased an RV and took a six-month trip around the U.S., explored national parks and met with friends & family along the way. Next thing you know, they moved to Louisiana so Laura could attend graduate school. Not long after, a rescue dog named Luna turned this duo into a trio. After realizing how wild of a ride it had been, they both agreed it was time to "stay put" somewhere, and decided to settle in Sebastian, Florida in August 2020. Over Labor Day Weekend in 2023, while visiting family in Maine, Kyle finally asked Laura to marry him. It had been 15 years since that first day they met in high school. And now, it's finally happening. They are tying the knot! Kyle and Laura are thrilled to be celebrating their next adventure with you.
