Back in late 2015, I was finishing up my 1st semester as a Freshman at The College at Brockport. Admittedly, I had a shaky transition from home to campus. Despite living on campus for a few months, I was still feeling shy and homesick. However, I was quite thankful to have one person I already knew on campus, Anthony, to talk to and show me around. A few weeks prior to Winter Break, Anthony had asked for me to come with him to meet some of his acquaintances for dinner. He was determined to help me come out of my shell and adjust better to campus life. I was nervous and hesitated about going, but ultimately accepted and accompanied him to meet up with his friends. Little did I know that this one decision would ultimately change the trajectory of my life for the better. Here is where I met Michael, who was finishing up the beginning of his Junior year at SUNY Brockport. Having transferred from FLCC, he was already well adjusted to campus life. Right away I admired the gentle tone in his voice and confidence he showed. Throughout the following months, I would continue to message with the group and got to know everyone better, including Michael. In the midst of those spontaneous adventures with our "squad" across campus, hangouts in the common area, and random conversations, our bond deepened. Michael and I discovered we had a lot in common and became fast friends. With each passing day, I found myself more drawn to Michael's kindness, intelligence, and unwavering support. As more time went by, and after sharing a few hardships, the friendship ultimately blossomed into romance. Michael and I began officially dating in the Fall of 2016 and have been inseparable ever since. After ultimately graduating together, traveling internationally, and creating endless inside jokes, here we are today. I am filled with gratitude for the day fate brought Michael into my life. Our journey from SUNY Brockport to this moment has been nothing short of magical, and I cannot wait to walk hand in hand with him into our happily ever after. ** (TLDR: We met at Suny Brockport back in 2015 and quickly became friends. About a year later we began dating and the rest is history). :)
