Question
What hotels can guests stay in?
Answer
Our reception venue, The Virden Center, has a hotel on the property with 22 rooms set aside for our wedding guests! To book a room, call the Virden Center at 302-645-4100 and say that you need to book a room for the Mitchell/Edwards wedding. Rooms booked at Virden Center are $69/night. These rooms are booked on a first come, first served basis so they will likely fill up quickly. We have also reserved a block of rooms in a local hotel, Hyatt Place Dewey Beach, for additional guests once the Virden Center is full. To book a room at the Hyatt Place, click this link https://www.hyatt.com/en-US/group-booking/ILGXL/G-OKJT. Rooms in this hotel are $129/night and are pet-friendly! If staying in a hotel is not for you, there are also lots of Airbnb’s in the area as well!

Can I bring a plus-one?
Answer
Though we would love to be able to celebrate with you and your guest, our venue restricts the amount of guests that can be in attendance. Unless a plus-one is specifically included on your invitation, please refrain from bringing a guest so that we can stay within the limit that our venue set.

Where can guests park for the ceremony?
Answer
There is no specific parking lot set aside, anywhere you can find a spot near the church is fine. However, please note that parking around the church is limited and buses are available for guests staying at the Hyatt House and the Virden Center!

Where can I share photos and videos that I take at the wedding with the bride and groom?
Answer
Please download the app "The Guest" and use our code, "KYLADEVIN2022" This app allows guests to upload photos and videos, and see photos and videos that other guests have shared! This is the best way for us to be able to see our most special day through the eyes of our loved ones!

Will there be a bus to get me back to the hotel?
Answer
Hyatt House guests: a bus will be available to take you from the hotel to the church, and then from the church to the reception. The bus will be leaving the hotel at exactly 2:30 pm, so please plan to be ready and on the bus no later than 2:25! At the end of the evening, a bus will return to the Virden Center at 10:00 pm to bring you back to the Hyatt House. Virden Center guests: a bus will be available to take you from the hotel to the church and then back to the reception area. This bus will be leaving Virden Center at exactly 2:40 pm, so please plan to be ready and on the bus no later than 2:35! All other guests: we do not have any other transportation lined up, so please plan to get yourselves to the church and to the reception, and then back to your accommodations at the end of the evening. Please note that parking around the church is limited, so please leave yourself plenty of extra time prior to the ceremony to find a spot to park!
