I have known this man for more than 3/4 of my life. Growing up through elementary and middle school, I didn't have a lot of friends but Ivan was one of the few that was. He was always there for me and growing up with him, getting to know his family, he's like a brother to me. A brother I never had. Sometimes we don't see each other for a while but when we meet up again, it's as if we haven't missed a beat with each other. And if there's anyone that I needed a drink with or vent to, I knew I could count on my brother, Ivan. I would say this guy definitely saved my life growing up

Long time George Washington High School best friend. Virginia and I had volleyball as our shared sport in high school. Long written letters about boys with nicknames, school, and life were passed between us in heart shaped binder paper. I remember a day in high school when we walked more than 35 blocks together just talking about life. When we split off in college, we still kept in touch whether it be through facebook videos or flying down to San Diego for Sundance. It felt like yesterday when her now husband and I went on a road trip down to SD, I was trying to take sneaky couple pictures of them since they weren't officially together (even though they were holding hands). Virginia has been there for me through so many of my ups and downs, there is no way I would be who I am without her.

This guy here, Tony..I mean Vinh, has got my back since day 1 when I first joined SyunhFung 9 man team. We have been on the same 9 man team since 2006 (minus 1 year) and we have gone through the ups and downs but there's nobody else that I would want to share that with on the volleyball court than this man. To help show me my path in this world, he brought me into the real estate world. And now thanks to him, I can call the real estate world my home. I was an only child growing up but times have changed. I'm lucky enough to call my best men, my brothers.

Our friendship grew from Club Volleyball at San Jose State University. Fun drunk nights in downtown SJ and Campbell were definitely blurry. Alisa came with me when I first picked up Aki in San Jose to make sure I wasn't crazy for getting a dog on Craigslist. We shared many days and nights of chocolate cakes and donuts together venting about our lives. It could be chill days of watching tv all day, or letting Aki play with Ginger. This girl was my rock. College would have been rough without with her. She always was there for me no matter what.
Justin Lam

The Slammer. I remember the first time meeting him, actually meeting him, he called himself Michael Jordan of volleyball. What a guy. Volleyball has been in almost half my life and if I hadn't met him, I don't know where I would be. Justin is the definition of "Where and When". Whenever you need him, he'll be there for you. And I'm very thankful for him to ask me to accompany him on creating the team "SF Paai Kau Smash" and to be able to grow through the growing pains with him and the team, there would be nothing I would trade that for. He's an amazing leader and friend

I met Stephanie in College at San Jose State University. She first thought of me as the "WILD CARD" child because she met me when I was older in school. Long and behold, I became the favorite LOL. She kept me in check and always looked out for me like a big sister. We share the love for a Taiwanese hot pot place in San Jose. She would go to dinner with me then go to cross fit right after, she was crazy. Stephanie has always been there for me, we kept each other sane during the crazy times in our lives.

My arch nemesis in high school :). During high school, people thought we looked alike or is very similar, we don't see it but we definitely pushed each other to be better. Sports was a common theme for me in high school and whenever we were on the same court with each other, we were always positive and always tried to push each other to be better. We didn't know til later on in high school that our families lived in the same building when we were younger but the crazy thing was, we lived about 5 doors from each other. But I'm glad that we got to meet later in life because things would be very different without him.
Tracy Tang

Tracy and I share a love for animals, mostly dogs in her eyes. We have gotten pretty close after we met from a business opportunity she presented. We have gone to many events together including Coachella, Tahoe, and countless trips to Fort Funston for dog play dates. Tracy and I have very similar personalities and she has helped me grow to be a more understanding person. I remember when we used to work at Genentech together, we would have venting sessions and at the same time, talk about what kind of ring expectations we had for the future. It's crazy how fast we became friends, our personalities just meshed so well together. I knew you would become a great friend to me from the start. Only amazing friends can persuade my stubbornness.

My kuya, this guy pretty much picked me up as his little brother when I first joined SJSU club volleyball. We got to play on the same court with each other and he also got to coach me on my last season at State. There were times that I was in a tight spot but he was always there to pick me up and I'm very grateful for him. Although times has past, whenever we see each other, it feels like we're back in college, like we just saw each other yesterday.

I was introduced to Julie from Tommy as a player to recruit for our SF volleyball team, Lady Smash. I remember a conversation with Tommy talking about how or if we should recruit her. She was a small asian girl that hops haha. We needed a middle, and the one nationals she played with us in Vegas, she made a huge impact. Everyone loved her. Julie has an aurora around her that everyone just falls in love with. Over the years we have gotten closer sharing volleyball tips to future goals for ourselves. She is an amazing teammate, friend, and person that I am so happy to have in my life.
Dennis Zhang

We go way back to the Argonne Park days. We would always be playing basketball with our friend, Tae Won. I was lucky to lived so close to the park that we could always just meet up and play ball there. And as time went on, we got to know each other a little more in high school but I think it was until after college that we got to know each other some more. Dennis is one of those guys that can be there for you and really drop down some knowledge. We had one of the craziest, deep talks with Ivan and that was one of the realest talks I ever had.

Anny and I met in college at San Jose State University as well. We have experienced many up and down obstacles during that time. Whether it be staying up all night doing homework or enjoying each others company at a Thai restaurant figuring out what to do for that day. Anny and I weren't as close when we first met each other, but through the years of friendship, and many gchat messaging, we became close friends. We've had so many funny, random, serious talks, that I'm glad I had you to share with. We have definitely have grown up quickly since college.

Our tallest friend ever! But all jokes aside, Ryan is the nicest guy you'll ever meet. He goes above and beyond when he's helping out a friend and we're very glad we get to call him our officiant. We met back in college when we both played on the SJSU men's club volleyball team. Ryan got to see everything about our relationship, got to see the ups and downs and even got to see how we were before we even went out. What other person to marry us than this guy right here.
