Our first encounter was by chance. We were both in Washington D.C., interviewing for medical school at the same institution. It was a friendly encounter and several months would go by before we would see each other again. The following spring, we found ourselves at the same institution once again, though this time, a little further up north, in Rochester, NY, attending the same second look event. Funny enough, during that event, we would work together in neuroanatomy lab. As you all know, one of us went on to admire brains from a safe and comfortable distance whereas the other chose to get up close and personal. About a year from our first encounter, not only would we share the same classroom, but our first kiss, on Halloween day, 2015. That day we would go on to form the greatest alliance the world has ever known.
