Hiking @ Slieve Bloom Mountain
Hike along the trails at the bottom of Slieve Bloom Mountain Range considered the oldest mountains in Europe! The area is picturesque, peaceful, gloriously multi-coloured and one of the least explored in Ireland. Dotted around the mountains are quaint little villages, and to visit one is like stepping back in time to an era when life moved at a slower pace. These are the places where people will take the time to talk to you, will listen to your stories and enjoy telling you theirs. According to the locals the Slieve Bloom have everything, except the sea!

High Tea for the Ladies
If you care for a little time with the ladies, afternoon tea (or also called High Tea) will be offered in the morning room for ladies to enjoy and relax with good conversations or even to just enjoy a good book
Whiskey Tastings
Whiskey tastings on site for groups 6+ people is €6 per person. (mention in your reservation for this you are part of the Paul Wedding for the proper rate) Whiskey tasting will also be set up at the reception for €6 per person. The Dapper Blend, the 10 year old Blend and the Cider Cask Finish Single Malt. All Kinnitty based events need to be scheduled ahead of time.
Exploration: Town of Birr
A bus transport runs from Kinnitty Castle to the next main town, Birr, and back each day. You can explore the numerous adventures Birr has to offer through this site. There is: - golfing at Birr Golf Club - guided trek on a horseback tour to see Seffin Stone at gates of St. John's Hall - Birr Theatre & Arts Centre NOTE: we will be touring the Castle of Birr on our family exhibition day on the 26th and we will be ending out at Kelly's Bar (140 year old pub run and operated by over four generations) in Birr
