When travelling to Greece, it's important to know that the official currency is the Euro. Although many businesses accept credit cards, it's advisable to keep some cash on hand, especially for paying taxi fares or making quick purchases. To make the most of your trip, consider learning a few Greek phrases such as "yasou" for hello, "efharisto" for thank you, and "parakalo" for please. Although most Greeks speak English fluently, speaking a bit of the local language can help you make friends and show your appreciation for the culture. So, make sure to bring some Euros and practice your Greek, and get ready to enjoy the delicious food and sunny weather of Greece! Expect to pay between €15-€50 for a 15-30 minute ride. For more information, visit our Travel & Transportation page.
Get ready for an island-hopping adventure! With numerous ferry options available for every traveler's needs, you'll find hassle-free booking with easy to compare schedules, prices, and routes, so you can find the perfect ferry for your journey. Looking to book a ferry? You can use this website: https://www.ferryscanner.com/en/ferry Pro Tips: If you can swing business class seating, we highly recommend it. Usually means a slightly less crowded part of the ferry and assigned seats. Travel light. One small roller suitcase and a backpack or large carry-on is the most efficient way to travel if you plan to hop from island to island. Ferries have cargo bays for larger luggage that can sometimes be a hassle to engage with. If you're looking to travel with as much ease as possible, opt for the smaller luggage & bring it to your seats with you. Book your ferries in advance. Don't risk it. Most companies are pretty flexible with rearranging or changing your tickets if needed, just check the details for rebooking options. Ferries are not for the faint of heart. The ports are very organized, but also very busy. Prepare to stand in crowded lines in the sun, and know your starting/ending port and Ferry carrier by model and number and remember to visually confirm your destination with the projected route written on the vessel. You must print out or download your tickets to your phone for boarding and have them accessible. Boarding can feel like herding cattle and is usually quite rushed, so do what you can to mentally and strategically prepare yourself before boarding begins. Once aboard, the water can sometimes be choppy, if you get seasick, plan on taking medicine before you set sail. We tell you this to prepare you and we don't want to discourage you at all. Traveling by ferry is totally doable for all ages! We had seamless experiences on all of our journeys. Reference our travel page for a YouTube video on the ferry experience if you're looking for more info.

Remember, when you're in a foreign country, you may not have access to data on your phone. This can make navigating maps or sending text messages challenging. While you can always connect to Wi-Fi at local hotels or cafes, having access to data on the go can be incredibly convenient. Consider setting up a temporary international service through your phone provider by logging into your phone plan and adding on an international pass for a limited amount of time, such as 10 days or a few weeks. This will ensure you stay connected while exploring abroad without worrying about excessive charges.
Don't forget your European adapter! USA to Europe means different outlets. Ensure your devices stay powered on your journey.
We kindly ask you to refrain from using your gadgets during the ceremony. Our goal is to create a magical and intimate atmosphere where we can all cherish every moment together. We will offer a clear time at the beginning of the ceremony to snap some pics, but after that we're going unplugged. So, let's put away our phones and be fully present to enjoy the love and laughter. Don't worry, the Instagram-worthy moments will still be available to capture after the ceremony. We appreciate your cooperation in making this an unplugged adventure.
