It was always you... If you know the story of how Kurt and I met, then you know the story of how Kurt and I met. If you don't, well then it's simplest to say we met through friends 12 years ago in January of 2014. We ran in the same circle for years and have shared many of the same parties, trips, and memories. We've grown up together through our 20s and 30s. By 2023, it had become somewhat of a regular occurrence that Kurt and I were always the last ones at a party, or that we would join each other for little adventures just as friends (cooking classes or the Simpich Showcase in Colordo Springs). One summer evening in 2023, sitting around the fire pit, we cautiously broached the subject of dating. We had a solid friendship and it was imperative to both of us that it remained intact. But as they say, you gotta play to win, and we ultimately decided to dive in head first! Lucky for us, it was always meant to be. Since that summer evening, our friendship has caught on fire. We have built a solid partnership full of love, laughter, travel, our sweet dogs Fax and Fiction, many parties, excellent restaurants, and watching Parks & Rec on repeat cuddled up in bed. We have visited Boston, Hartford, Chicago, Kansas City, Seattle, Miami, Grand Rapids, Hawaii (twice!), Tampa Bay, Ireland, and Japan! In between all of the traveling, Kurt surprised me on a walk on the path behind our house with a true to us proposal (dogs in tow!) and made an ordinary Thursday become one of the happiest days of our lives so far. Which led us to this fabulous partaaayyy we are about to throw at Perry Park Country Club... We are so excited to have each of you at our wedding. There is only one day in your life, where every person you love is in the same space at the same time and we can't wait for it! 8.8.2026 can't come soon enough!
