A month into junior year, we had a test when this new girl walked in saying: "Hello, my name is Abigail Petersen, and it's nice to meet you all." Everyone stared at her silently. She then saw we were in a test and sat down quietly. I thought to myself: "She must be feeling so awkward right now." Later our teacher asked us who could show her to her next class. Someone else and I volunteered, but secretly I was hoping I would bring her without knowing what it would lead to. I still have no idea how she got the name Terrance, but I do know what I love about her. Whenever I am with Abigail, I feel: comfort, happiness, safety, kindness, and a loving home. Because of her I have grown so much as a person and in my faith. I most certainly would not be the man I am today without her in my life.

On my first day of school, I did not know where to go, so my teacher picked this boy to walk me, and oh my was he attractive. My first thought was that this could be my future husband. I quickly pushed the thought aside, but in my fantasizing, I hadn't heard his name! For a week, I thought his name was Terrance. After that, we had every class, project, and Quiz Bowl meeting together. We bonded over our love of the Flash, and quickly found how compatible we are. We love board game nights, movies, anime, and tennis. When I look at Kurt, I see Christ who lives in him as he lives with such integrity. Kurt has shown me so much grace, fun, forgiveness, mercy, kindness, patience, joy, and most importantly, love. Luckily I learned his first name, and now I am stealing his last!
Whitman Kent
Best Man
Whitman and Kurt met his freshman year through a mutual friend and later shared many game nights together. One of Kurt's favorite memories with Whit was when they played as bad guys on the same team. They had steam rolled through the game and won. Kurt is sure Whitman would complain about Kurt's play style. Kurt enjoys how Whit is the one guy who really talks about his life with him in a respectful manner, and they have fun together - like when Whit let Kurt drive his mustang. He is one of the few friends who know both Kurt and Abby as a couple. Whit is kind, loyal, funny, honest, confident, trustworthy, social, and an all-around stand up guy. Whit and Kurt understand each other very well as they are both Enneagram type 6s. Kurt and Abby are delighted to have Whit be Kurt's best man.
Tabitha Petersen
Maid of Honor
As one of Abby's birthright besties, she has seen Tabitha grow into a smart, funny, super-achieving young woman! They have enjoyed movie nights, late night chats, painting days, and essentially sharing their life experiences together. She always has some of the best music recommendations and memes. Although Tabitha is younger than your typical maid of honor as a sixteen year old, She is reliable, creative, and Abby always remembers how well she did as her assistant director. Tabitha brings life to every situation she is a part of, and Kurt and Abby are honored to have her as my maid of honor as she helps Abby get through the day with the least amount of stress possible.
Kaden Knudsen
Groomsman
Kaden is charming, intelligent, funny, competitive, and has a big heart for others. Kaden is Kurt's brother, so they have shared most of their life experiences and explorations together - including visits to national parks. They both have the honor of holding the Eagle scout title and share many other interests outside of boy scouts such as playing videogames, board games, and wrestling. Abby first met Kaden when he had just finished middle school, and they have bonded through family board game nights since then. He will be a great groomsmen by Kurt's side this January.
Jordyn Knudsen
Bridesmaid
Jordyn and Kurt started as wombmates, and Abby is excited to gain Jordyn as a sister. They have had so many good memories from hiking to crazy cool places, chilling in the beach breeze, having lunch dates, and she even had a hand in helping Abby pick her wedding dress. She is trustworthy, gorgeous, funny, good, sweet, outdoorsy, and unashamedly herself. We are honored to have this cowgirl stand with Abby as Abby accepts her brother to be her husband.
Chase Knudsen
Groomsman
When Kurt was 6 years old, Chase was born into the family and has been a great addition ever since. In a painfully bonding moment, Kurt and Chase tried to chug a water bottle as fast as they could and just ended up throwing up in their backyards together. Kurt thinks of this fondly because it was so funny and random. Kurt, Abby, and Chase typically ride together on family road trips. On these, they enjoy having fun conversations, wind blowing in the windows, and music blasting. Chase is caring, funny, silly, and very kind hearted. Abby appreciates how encouraging Chase can be, and Kurt appreciates his light hearted nature. We are excited to have Chase as a groomsman as he is dependable and fun to be around.
Taylor Baker

Abby met Taylor through Twin Beach Players. Abby first saw Taylor as shy and reserved and grew to see her as a creative, honest, relatable, humble, kind, adventurer. Taylor has since inspired Abby with her writing and has remained one of her longest close friends. Taylor has been a constant support, and Abby has enjoyed seeing her over the years. They have created many funny videos, sung many songs, written many letters, hiked through beaches and forest, and explored together. Abby is excited to have Taylor as her bridesmaid as she knows Taylor will always be her dear friend regardless of how much time has passed.
Caleb Petersen

From movie sets to board game nights, Kurt and Caleb have seen each other consistently throughout the years. As Abby's brother, she has seen how Caleb is loyal, smart, funny, kind, and good he is. He is understanding and compassionate for others, always going out of his way to care for the one he loves. Kurt and Abby are thrilled to have Caleb be one of Kurt's groomsmen.
Daisy Vial

When Caleb told Abby that he was bringing a girl home to meet the family, she was not expecting someone as funny, kind, sweet, and genuine as Daisy. Abby has loved getting to know her through board games, visits to Kohl's and the mall, and seeing how she interacts with the family on a nearly daily basis. She is flawlessly beautiful and kindhearted. Abby is so happy with how she fits in with her family and in this wedding party.
Jack Pokluda

Jack and Kurt met in their freshman year of college when Kurt accidentally went to the wrong connection group. He later saw that Jack lived right next to him and they bonded over videogames and chitchatting in his room. Jack is friendly, loyal, helpful, and there when you need him. Kurt and Abby are very excited to have Jack supporting Kurt on this special day.
Julianne Austin

In Abby's freshman year of college, Abby saw a girl painting in the lobby and joined her. They later reconnected over their love of movies and starring in them. Julianne is one of the most genuine, funny, and loyal friends Abby has ever met! They love getting sweet foods like Oreo donuts, cupcakes, and ice cream sundaes. Julianne is easygoing and is always down for an adventure, and Abby is so grateful that Julianne will be a part of one of the most important days of her life.
Wesley Schneider

Wesley and Kurt have been friends from childhood. Kurt found Wesley by yelling out "hi Wesley" at his church. Wesley peaked out from the line and the rest is history. Kurt appreciates how much Wesley includes Kurt into his hobbies - like Beyblades and Bakugan when they were younger. Kurt enjoys Wesley's company in videogames as they have kept in contact over the years. Wesley is kind, funny, and intelligent. Kurt and Abby are excited to see Wesley suit up on their big day.
Rachel Bassett

Rachel was Abby's college roommate, so she saw Abby at her best and her worst. They have run from bugs, explored North Georgia and North Carolina, and have done many a mischievous thing. They have laughed, they have cried, they have groaned from Chloe Ting exercises, and they have created a strong bond where they know they can always rely on each other. Rachel is selfless, true, kind, generous, and creative. She always knows how to solve problems and laugh about them later. She is a great storyteller with a strong spirit and mind, and it is obvious to all how the Holy Spirit moves through her. Abby is excited to have this girl be with her on her big day!
Pastor Victor

Pastor Victor started as Abby's youth pastor. He has since become the lead pastor to Abby's family church. Kurt and Abby love how Pastor Victor is authentic, funny, and led by the spirit. He fills every room with joy while he preaches the word of God. His ministry is amazing as he emphasizes involvement and evangelism to the local community. Kurt and Abby are excited to have pastor Victor as their officiant as Pastor Victor and his wife, Lydia, serve as excellent role models of having a Godly marriage.
Liz Bustamante Venegas
Flower Girl
Hailing from Abigail's family, Liz is the daughter of Constanza Venegas. Abby has kept up with her life via Facebook and is very excited to see her beautiful little cousin at her wedding. Abby was enthralled with Liz's excitement to be a flower girl. Abby feels that this is a great way to honor her family from Chile, and she is very excited to see Liz decorating the aisle with flower petals!
Asher DeVries

Rising from Kurt's family, Asher is the son of Mark and Sam DeVries. He has known Kurt from a young age, and he has met Abby quite recently. Together, they have played DND, board games, and digital games with Asher. Kurt and Abby love how playful, active, and smart he is. They are very excited to have Asher as their ring security!
Lorelai DeVries
Flower Girl
Hailing from Kurt's family, Lorelai is the daughter of Mark and Sam DeVries. She has known Kurt ever since she was a baby and has only grown cuter ever since. Kurt and Abby have enjoyed Lorelai's presence in Navarre Beach and loved playing games with her. She has a beautiful smile, lots of energy, and constantly gives people big hugs. Kurt and Abby are excited to see Lorelai walk down the aisle as their flower girl!
Eric Petersen
Father of the Bride
As a kid, Abby's dad would fly her around the house and let Abby and her siblings climb on him like he was a tree. He has always been a fun dad who has inspired laughter, joy, and wisdom into their lives. As much as the kids tease him, he is one of the most respectable men as he worships the Lord in his public and private life. His outstanding character will always serve as a reminder to Abby to be kind to all. Abby is joyful as her dad walks her down the aisle and into this next stage of life with her beloved Kurt.

Mother of the Bride
She brought Abby into this world and has showered Abby with love ever since. Abby's mom is an amazing chef, and she always cooks the family special meals. Abby will always remember the times they went to Disneyland, Six Flags, museums, field trips, Chile, theatre, and many more adventures. Abby appreciates her humor, intelligence, and her selfless, loving, helping nature! She truly gives Abby an appreciation for life and the life she lives.
David Knudsen
Father of the Groom
For the past 21 years, David has seen Kurt grow into a righteous man. Kurt takes after his father in that way. Kurt's dad is loyal, reliable, kind-hearted, confident, and a strong leader. It is clear that his dad has always made an effort to be there for Kurt from going to his games to becoming a scout leader. Kurt's dad also makes it a point to glorify God which has modeled the importance of a Godly life to Kurt. Abby appreciates all he has done to make Kurt the man he is today.

Mother of the Groom
One day, Abby went to support this cute guy (Kurt) at his tennis match on his birthday. Abby sat next to this lady and in their conversation found out that she was talking to his mother! Since then, Abby has enjoyed many church services, board game nights, and trips to the sunflower field with her. Kurt's mom, Jill, is loving, kind, caring, and prayerful. Abby really lucked out with having a good "Mother-in-love."
