How The Love of Abby's Life Proposed

In the summertime, Kurt had asked Abby to spend Thanksgiving with him at his grandparents'. Abby hesitantly agreed, but she was excited to be included in Kurt's family in this way. Abby had talked with her friends that maybe Kurt would propose because her mom had given her a lot of money to get her nails done; however, from what Kurt was telling Abby, She really believed it was in January because they were planning to do the ring shopping in December - which was actually to ring shop for Kurt! The day after Thanksgiving, Kurt and Abby went to different shops and talked about how it would fit with their future house. Kurt took Abby to the beach and found a perfect spot with no people around. He had made Abby turn around and close her eyes before this. When she opened her eyes, Kurt said how much he loves her and how God had blessed him. He got on one knee, and he asked Abigail to marry him. Kurt had previously asked Abby's dad and told his family in advance, so Abby returned home to two engagement parties with her family - one with Kurt's family in Florida and one with Abby's family in Georgia. It was so perfect and beyond Abby's dreams. She had prayed for God to give her peace in the decision when the proposal came and for the Holy Spirit to guide her speech. When Kurt asked, she felt deep peace and the word "yes!" quickly slipped from her mouth. From Abby's perspective, the ring had been glowing and sparkling which she felt was a sign from God at the time. Abby soon came to realize that it was a light in the ring box instead, and they had a good laugh about that later. Kurt said he chose Thanksgiving to propose because he was thankful for her. Also, Thanksgiving was a time for family, and he was inviting her into his family. This significance filled Abby's heart with joy. The pair had been dating for 3 and a half years prior to this. Abby is very excited to become a Knudsen this winter and marry the love of her life, Kurt Knudsen!
