Botanical garden located on the campus of Smith College that is open to the public.
Northampton Bicycle
Full service bike shop just feet from the local rail trails. Grab a rental and go exploring! They also host pop-up speakeasy nights at their in-house bar called the Barb and Olive.
Northampton Rail Trail System
AKA Norwottuck Rail Trail, Manhan Rail Trail, Mass Central Rail Trail Grab a rental bike (see above) and check out the multi-use trails from the hub of downtown Northampton. This network has connecting trails to multiple towns, with several bike shops, restaurants, and breweries en route. Riding the entire network out and back is about 52 miles. A highlight is the 1600’ bridge across the Connecticut River.

Mount Holyoke Range State Park
Popular hiking destination with over 30 miles of blazed trails. Includes the Seven Sisters ridge line, which is traversed by a portion of the New England National Scenic Trail.
Carr's Ciderhouse
Cider garden and farm shop, selling traditional wild fermented hard ciders, cider syrup, apple cider vinegar, switchel, and handmade sodas all made on-farm.
Canal Bowling Lanes
A classic candlepin bowling alley. Candlepin is a bowling game unique to New England (and invented in Massachusetts). They also have billiard tables, a bar, and a lounge.
Chapel Brook

The Montague Bookmill & the Lady Killigrew
Used book store housed in an 1842 gristmill. There's also a cafe and pub housed on site called the Lady Killigrew.

White water rafting, kayaking, canoeing, and ziplining, about 45 min from Northampton.

Drive to the highest point in MA. Great views, a cafe, walking path, and a war memorial.

The Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Located about an hour from Northampton.
