There are tons of hikes for various skill levels accessible from Beaver Creek. The Beaver Lake trail is a favorite of the Nichols family. For the more adventurous folks, Maroon Bells trail in Aspen and Hanging Lake trail in Glenwood Springs are gorgeous and challenging hikes.
You can rent bikes from any of the shops in town to explore the mountains. They will provide you with maps and route guidance.
Gore Creek offers both wade and float fly fishing including equipment rental, guides, and licenses. Half-day wade trips will offer the angler 4 hours of on-the-water fishing, and about 5 hours total with travel. Full-day wade trips are 7-8 hours total, with fishing and travel.
