It all started back at Spectrum Grill at Xfinity LIVE in Philadelphia when the chef started to fall for the hostess... Mark would talk to Amber at the host stand all night every night, so much so that that the General Manager made an outline of Mark's footprints next to the host stand when Mark moved onto his next job. After many late night conversations, they realized they had an undeniable connection and decided to give their love a chance. Before they knew it, they moved in together and supported each other through many job transitions, career changes and even going back to school. Mark even convinced Amber to buy a house in New Jersey, so that's how you knew it was getting pretty serious. Then they adopted the bestest littlest boy Luca and that's when their story really began.

On Christmas morning 2018, Mark took Luca "out for a walk" and came back with an unusual little box around his collar. He called Amber in shouting "There's something wrong with his collar!" In dog mama fashion, Amber ran in immediately thinking he was tangled and couldn't breathe, but instead, was pleased to find Mark get down on one knee and ask for her to marry him.
