Flight

O'Hare International Airport (ORD) or Midway International Airport (MDW)

Chicago has two primary airports, if you are not flying Southwest, O'Hare generally has best availability for flights as it is the largest airport in the Chicagoland area and generally has better pricing on flights. If you are flying Southwest, Midway is the only hub for Southwest in Chicago.

Train

Blue Line Train (ORD) or Orange Line Train (MDW)

If you fly into O'Hare (ORD) and choose to take public transportation to the hotel versus cab or Uber - take the Blue Line train (towards Forest Park) - exit the train at the "Chicago" stop. Then you can take the 66 Chicago bus eastbound (towards Navy Pier) to Chicago and Michigan (5 minute walk to the hotel). It is approximately an hour commute via train and can be anywhere from a 30-50 minute drive depending on traffic. If you fly into Midway (MDW) you can take the Orange Line train towards the "Loop", transfer from the elevated tracks to the Red Line train (subway is down the stairs) at "Roosevelt" and take the red line train towards "Howard". Get off at "Grand" - the hotel is approximately a 5 minute walk from this stop. The ride overall commute should be about 40-50 minutes.

AC Hotel by Marriott Chicago Downtown

This is in a great area in the River North neighborhood of Chicago - we live within walking distance and call this area home. It is approximately a 16 minute drive from our venue and is blocks from Michigan Avenue and a variety of great restaurants, activities, and bars. This area is very transportation rich, meaning it is easy to get around the city by various buses, trains, uber/lyft, and taxi. You can book a King Room or a Double Room for $239 a night + 17.4% hotel tax (2 night minimum stay). Parking is discounted with the room block to $43.50 per night with in/out privileges. If you would prefer to make a reservation via phone, please call 844-672-9070 (this is the Marriot Central Reservation number) and mention you are booking for the "Kuang and Dyke Wedding Block" and they will assist you in making the reservation. Other Accommodations

If for whatever reason you would like to seek accommodations outside of the hotel block please use the linked button below for specially negotiated rates. The rates may sell out or change since we don't have a block at these hotels, so we would advise booking as soon as possible. The hotels I would recommend outside of the block are: 21C Museum Hotel, The Godfrey Hotel, Hotel Felix, Home2Suites by Hilton, The Whitehall Hotel, The Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel, The Acme Hotel The 21C Museum Hotel and the Acme Hotel are very close in proximity and are more in the heart of River North. They are located relatively close to the hotel block. The Godfrey Hotel, Hotel Felix, and Home2Suites are located next to one another and short distance to our own home. The Whitehall is also located in a great location close by. The Millennium Knickerbocker is located a bit further away across Michigan Ave, closer to the lake, but is in a nice quiet area.

Travel Note

Transportation to the Venue

Transportation will not be provided to the venue. We recommend guests use ridesharing apps such as Uber/Lyft (can be downloaded on the App Store/Google Play store) or hail a taxi. Taxis are somewhat difficult to hail in Chicago, although it is slightly easier from the location of the hotel block. We recommend download Curb (a taxi hailing app) for anyone who decides to take a taxi. If you are staying in River North (with the hotel block), it is approximately a 16 minute drive. The restaurant does not have a parking lot. There is street parking around the venue on Chicago Ave if you choose to drive. While there is free parking around the side streets of the venue, please be very vigilant of street signs. A majority of the parking in the area is permitted meaning that you are not allowed to park there unless you are a local resident with a permit sticker for that specific zone. Parking in a permitted spot could result in parking tickets.
