Rocky Mountain National Park is a very popular tourist attraction in Estes Park. Trevor and Kendall took their engagement photos here at Sprague Lake and Bear Lake! We would recommend taking a drive through the park to spot some elk and enjoy the views or go on a hike for a true CO experience - just remember to bring your water and sunscreen :) FYI: Reservations are required to enter the park during certain hours. For more information about making a reservation, please visit the website and click on "Timed Entry Reservations."
If you are looking for a fun, outdoor activity with breathtaking views, check out Lake Estes! At the Lake Estes Marina, you are able to rent stand-up paddle boards and paddle boats to take out on the lake or a bike to ride around the lake. There is also a great walking path around the Lake as well if would prefer to not rent anything.
Nestled in the heart of Estes Park is the Stanley Hotel, a historic landmark and inspiration for Stephen King's novel and the psychological horror film, The Shining. The hotel offers a variety of tours if you are interested in learning more about it's history or how this hotel inspired Stephen King's novel. After the tour, make sure to stop by The Whiskey Bar located in the hotel lobby, which has the largest selection of whiskey and single malt scotches in Colorado. Fun fact: Kendall and her family spent many Thanksgivings in Estes Park and one was spent at the Stanley!
Need a quick pit stop on your way to Estes Park? Check out the Colorado Cherry Company in Lyons! This adorable shop offers a variety of pies, cookies, jams, ciders, and more. There is also a smaller location located at the Stanley Hotel if you miss the location in Lyons.
