This is a popular scenic drive with incredible views, and we’ve even seen moose here a few times! We recommend driving up Big Cottonwood Canyon and stopping at Brighton Ski Resort for the views or a short hike. (Pro tip: you can take the ski lift up the mountain and hike back down) Then continue over Guardsman Pass and drop down into Park City to explore afterward.
Mirror Lake Highway is a scenic byway in the Uinta Mountains of Utah. It stretches 78 miles from Kamas, Utah, to the Wyoming border, offering breathtaking views of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. The highway is known for its high elevation, reaching 10,715 feet at Bald Mountain Pass, and for the numerous lakes, trails, and campgrounds along the way. This is one of our favorite areas to camp and hike! There are many established campgrounds (they do book up in advance) as well as great places for disbursed camping. This can also be done as a day trip drive with short hikes & stops along the way!

3.3 mile out-and-back trail in Big Cottonwood Canyon (if you choose to do Gaurdsman's Pass Scenic Drive mentioned above, this hike would be on the way up the canyon before you turn to that drive). Generally considered an easy route. This is a very popular area for hiking and walking!
Super cute restaurant with good food & drinks!
Fun thrift store with cats
Italian deli with a nice market attached. Very large chocolate selection.
Jordanelle is a reservoir about 15 minutes from our venue. There’s beach access, cabanas, and picnic areas, and you can camp, boat, swim, fish, or hike. They’ve got a rental shop with boats, jet skis, flyboards, kayaks, and paddleboards. Lovely place to spend an afternoon!
Botanical gardens!
Really great sushi spot, we usually go here for our anniversary :)
