We love our weird and wonderful friends and family, and want our wedding to be memorable and interactive. We also know many of you have special gifts that we'd love to showcase during the night. We mean it when we say short/3 minutes or less - our DJ will have playoff music to warn you, and David's not afraid to yell from across the room. This can be funny, touching, a great memory, a song or poem that holds meaning to you - whatever you want. Just note: We love a roast, but keep it under control... looking at you Long Islanders!
We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! We've booked a couple babysitters to make that a reality - let us know if you need one!
If your invitation says "and Guest," then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.
-Based on our Ouija Board first date, our desserts will be accompanied by a selection of Ouija boards. -To honor our musical theater nerd side, our guests will walk into the venue with a bunch of Broadway overtures playing before the ceremony. -We are opening the mic up for a portion of the dinner to any guest to share a short song, story, poem, interpretive dance, or toast in celebration of love and life and all the things in between. We're hoping this will be fun, weird, and a bit of a roast - we've been surprised by how many people are signing up. -Katie will be making pickles for a pickle bar to honor her Aunt Lydie, who made pickles with her when she was young. -We will be hiding a geocache as a time capsule with a photo of everyone in attendance and information about our special day near the venue. -We will have a photo booth where people can "squeeze the moon" to hold onto the present moment. (For more info, see Katie's Instagram, or just come to the wedding and we will explain. :)
