As is par for the course of our relationship up to this point, Kevin and I have decided to go about our wedding a bit differently than you've probably experienced at previous weddings. We've included this section to clarify the itinerary of events as follows. To start, our wedding will consist of multiple events over the course of the weekend. You are invited to all three days (A welcome bonfire on Friday night, our reception on Saturday and a goodbye brunch on Sunday), but you are welcome to just come for the reception on Saturday if that is what's best for you and your schedule. We are happy to spend as much time with you as you'll give us! Second, our wedding weekend will be a kid-free event. While we adore your kids, we hope that you will utilize our wedding weekend to bond with the wonderful humans we have invited and just have good 'ol fashioned adult fun in the woods of the Smoky Mountains. It's a magical place and we can't wait to share it with you! Please explore the rest of this website as we've tried to answer most questions you may have throughout and you can RSVP on the "RSVP" tab up top. We feel so lucky to be so loved and to love each other. Thank you for being a part of our special weekend.
Kev and I met like any modern couple, online. At the time, I (Kayleigh) was tired of dating and had decided to delete the apps after a cute guy asked me to get drinks after work and I presumed it would be a date like all the others. Feeling frustrated with men in general, I cancelled a few days before. After some convincing from our good friend, Brie, I decided to reach back out and ask Kevin to reschedule our date. However, I told him that I was tired of boring dates and I wanted to do something fun instead. So, we rescheduled for that weekend and a few days later, conveniently on a day when nobody I knew was in town beside my friend Kyle (Sorry, mom), Kevin picked me up from my apartment in Portland at 6 am. With zero hesitation, I jumped into his truck, introduced myself and away we went on a 1.5 hour car ride up to Mt Hood to go snowboarding for the day. Luckily for me, I didn't get murdered and the moment I jumped into his Tacoma, Kevin's welcoming and energetic attitude let me know almost immediately that I hadn't just met any 'ol guy. We spent the rest of the day snowboarding, sharing lodge beers and I remember feeling slightly uncomfortable with how quickly I felt at home around him. After that, Kevin dropped me off at my place and immediately asked if I would like to change quickly and have him pick me back up in an hour? I, of course, said yes and ran upstairs to get ready. After a wonderful dinner at my favorite food truck pod, I STILL wanted to spend more time with Kev so, this time I was the one who asked if he wanted to stay out longer and try out the sketchy dive bar across the street. We spent the rest of the evening playing cards and it was at that bar on that day that I felt my intuition tugging at me, telling me I met someone special. Our first date was 21 hours long in total and was easily the best date of my life :)
